purpleronnie Posted 18 April 2013 Posted 18 April 2013 Why do sportsmen give press conferences when they retire?
FoxesAreBlue Posted 18 April 2013 Author Posted 18 April 2013 Probably so the press can report it and ask any questions.
purpleronnie Posted 18 April 2013 Posted 18 April 2013 Probably so the press can report it and ask any questions. I wouldnt give a fook about the press. Just find it odd. maybe I'm odd? Maybe?
FoxesAreBlue Posted 18 April 2013 Author Posted 18 April 2013 I wouldnt give a fook about the press. If you were in his position I like to think that you might give a fook abou your fans though.
Craig Posted 18 April 2013 Posted 18 April 2013 Feel privileged to have watched him in the velodrome at London 2012. Class act. Surprised he didn't wait until after the Commonwealth Games, but I guess now is just as good a time to end on a high. :appl:
purpleronnie Posted 18 April 2013 Posted 18 April 2013 If you were in his position I like to think that you might give a fook abou your fans though. what did the fans get out of it?
FoxesAreBlue Posted 18 April 2013 Author Posted 18 April 2013 what did the fans get out of it? The press conference? They got the courtesy of knowing that he has retired, instead of wondering where the hell he has disappeared to come the next competition.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 April 2013 Posted 18 April 2013 Have a feeling he will take up some sort of Motor Sport
purpleronnie Posted 19 April 2013 Posted 19 April 2013 The press conference? They got the courtesy of knowing that he has retired, instead of wondering where the hell he has disappeared to come the next competition. but you dont need a press conference to let the press know your retiring, plenty of sportsmen retire without the need for one.
