Guest MattP Posted 9 July 2013 Posted 9 July 2013 Gazza's and Tony Adams are the two that stick out. # Humourous and harrowing at times.
Soar Fox Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 Gazza's and Tony Adams are the two that stick out. # Humourous and harrowing at times. Have you read Paul Merson's? Great read and I highly reccomend it. He once gambled £10,000 on the Eurovision Song Contest as he was of his head that much on gear.
Guest MattP Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 Bizarrely I haven't read his. I'll order that today.
Bert Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 Have you read Paul Merson's? Great read and I highly reccomend it. He once gambled £10,000 on the Eurovision Song Contest as he was of his head that much on gear. Mersons was class. Great read. Gary Neville's is good. Purely football. Mentions his wife once. Even then it's just by her first name. Savages was good, and so is Collymores. Want to read Bellamys next. Not football but I immensely enjoyed AP McCoy's book.
BHAFC Braders Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 Tony Cascarino's is one of the greatest ever written http://www.amazon.co.uk/Full-Time-Secret-Life-Cascarino/dp/074328531X Paul Lake - I'm not really here. Brilliant book. Also Enke. Paul McGrath's is bloody fantastic! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Back-Brink-Autobiography-Paul-McGrath/dp/009949955X These were the three that stood above and beyond for me so far- Paul Canovilles was really good too.
Len Finsbury Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 I was given a copy of Stuart Pearce's autobiography, so boring. As was Michael Owen's.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 As also said Brian Cough books are good. Read his auto biography a reporters book about him, and also The Damned United and We are the Damned United. Last two are a bit fictional obviously but interesting
notnow john Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 Whilst not a football book, Harold Larwood's biography by Duncan Hamilton is a fantastic read for cricket lovers, English or Australian.
