lcfc-fan Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 I have just finished reading youn9y and enjoyed it can anyone recommend any other footballers autobiographies past or present worth a read I'm tempted by Bellamys but it's not cheap thanks guys
VLC86 Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 Roy Keane and Fabrice Muamba were good reads. Not an autobiography but the secret footballers was worth a read too
Tielemans63 Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 Not an autobiography but 39 Days of Gazza is quite a good read.
ScouseFox Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 I enjoyed Sav's book. But that's because he played for us and I like him.
Libertine Dream Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 Not a footballer but football related, Simon Jordan's book is excellent
Hitesh Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 Keane by a mile! Bobby Robsons is good as well as Kevin Keegans.
Fox92 Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 Any of Brian Clough's interest me. Neil Lennon is good as well, as is Paul Scholes'.
notnow john Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 Frank Worthinton's,One hump or two is a good read. Back from the brink by Paul McGrath is an excellent but painfully honest look back at his life.
Narborough_fox Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 It's not an autobiography but "A life too short - The tragedy of Robert Enke" is an incredible read, and very moving. Shilton and Graham Roberts are both good reads as well.
Narborough_fox Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 Not football. But Jessica Ennis's, good pics. Leicesterpool will be a fan then!
Bayfox Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 It's not an autobiography but "A life too short - The tragedy of Robert Enke" is an incredible read, and very moving. Shilton and Graham Roberts are both good reads as well. is the enke one in print in this country?
Libertine Dream Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 It's not an autobiography but "A life too short - The tragedy of Robert Enke" is an incredible read, and very moving. Shilton and Graham Roberts are both good reads as well. I'd agree with the Enke one
Soar Fox Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 I enjoyed Sav's book. But that's because he played for us and I like him.Agree with this. Well worth buying. Others I have enjoyed reading are Paul Merson and Paul McGrath. Have a look at buying them off amazon I normally get them for a couple of pounds.
Narborough_fox Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 is the enke one in print in this country? Yes mate, look on Amazon
coatsworthstache Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 I'm not really here by Paul lake is a cracker. Was just before my time when he was playing, being seriously injured just after World Cup 90.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 David Beckham's is genuinely good. I imagine he's got several but the one I have ends at the time of him signing for Madrid. It makes you appreciate the shit some people gave him after 98.
Fox92 Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 I had Robert Pires' as well. That was very good. Took it on holiday one year. Didn't really realise how many injuries he had. Top player.
