Trumpet Posted 1 November 2013 Posted 1 November 2013 It's already been mentioned, but maybe the reason it applies to just DMU is because of a partnership with the club, which is subsidised by the university itself? Would be worth finding out.
Fox92 Posted 1 November 2013 Posted 1 November 2013 It's a ridiculously cheap, and annoys me slightly and probably others considering how much we spend on season tickets. The club need to get in on cheaper tickets though, to attract genuine LCFC fans, especially for such a big game like Forest will be. Surly it's best to sell cheaper and try and fill the ground, every game? It must be all over the country though, because I can take advantage of cheaper Manchester City tickets being a student in Manchester... Literally, I can get to City/Munich cheaper than the more expensive Leicester games, not that I've ever been though.
ADK Posted 1 November 2013 Posted 1 November 2013 At the end of the day loyal supporters will value games more than neutral students, that's why the prices are different.

Will hopefully find out a bit more on who subsidises the tickets in the meeting on Monday.

Leicester Lass Posted 5 November 2013 Posted 5 November 2013 What was said about this on Monday then? Cheers. The tickets are given to DMU as part of our partnership with them, and we receive a substantial amount of money from them for the partnership. Only DMU have availability for all home games, and have been limited to only 200 tickets for the Forest game. On average we sell about 600 student tickets per home game & they're sold in G1. The club realise that this is cheaper than buying a season ticket and the impression I got (although it wasn't explicitly stated) is that this is going to be a one season thing only, with only a limited number of games available for seasons going forward.

Just stumbled across a post from 2006 on here while searching for something and in it, it states about DMU students are able to buy tickets for £5 for any game in the season so it's been going on for at least 7 years already
