Alexikokopops Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 Think people are getting a bit worked up over little. Mack is clearly emphasising on fans who turn up and clearly don't know much about the team or club and those who bring kids that are restless and always need the toilet (which can often be regulars). He's not saying everyone turning up without a ST is a plastic or glory hunter. **** actually reading it. I'm going to get outraged. I DON'T LIVE IN LEICESTER BUT USED TO HAVE A SEASON TICKET! OUTRAGE
maxwelld_ Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 So man up and turn round and tell them then 1. Grumpy old ****ers ! 2. Not every fan can afford a season ticket 3. Not every fan can get off work every weekend 4. Be happy the KP will be nearly full 5. Any one has a go at my 5 year old will have me to deal with ! 6. Youngsters are the future of the club and with all other distractions now days don't need to be put off by a mardy old twat who has a go at them while watching the mighty city. Rant over but comon guys , get a life , enjoy the game , and be positive as this season could ( fingers crossed ) lead us to the promised land
Guest ttfn Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 We're not going to sell out anyway so I don't see what the problem is. It's all money in the club's coffers that we wouldn't have otherwise. It's if we get promoted to the Premier League that it might become a problem. If you've got Hooray Henry and his chums or some 45 year old hipster chuntering on about Mesut Ozil being the finest trequartista south of the Watford Gap sitting in the seats behind you whilst Fanatical Frank sits in the pub because he can't afford the ticket, that's when we have the problem. I went with my sister last week - she hasn't been for a year. It took 30 seconds to explain who the new players were. It wasn't exactly a burden on me or anybody around me.

Oxfordfox83 Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 So it looks like Florist is going to be our first Fair Weather Fans fixture of the 2013/14 season. On the back of a cracking run of form we meet our local rivals and it seems to have got the juices flowing of even the part timer glory hunters. So bite your tongues and take a deep breath when that vacant seat just behind you is filled by a group of people asking each other who the number 35 in attack might be and "Who's that in goal" because if we play well and win they might just come back the week after, and then again. And we might just stave off the impending financial doom if we don't get promoted. In fact befriend them, answer their stupid questions and buy them a bovril! Even if their kid is kicking you in the back all game!? Is it only me who read this post as "Be nice to the fairweathers, even if they annoy you, because it's good for the club to sell tickets and we might turn some into diehards". I thought it was a post exhorting us to brotherly love to anyone in blue. And hear hear to that...

Problem being those with a huge plate of chips on their shoulder read the title and the first line and cant wait to call me a "twat" and spit their dummy out and go running home to mummy.
