Fair Weather Fixture 13/14

I'm all for people, but what I don't like is when someone at the side of me, or behind me, talks all game. And not even about football!

So it looks like Florist is going to be our first Fair Weather Fans fixture of the 2013/14 season.

On the back of a cracking run of form we meet our local rivals and it seems to have got the juices flowing of even the part timer glory hunters.

So bite your tongues and take a deep breath when that vacant seat just behind you is filled by a group of people asking each other who the number 35 in attack might be and "Who's that in goal" because if we play well and win they might just come back the week after, and then again.

And we might just stave off the impending financial doom if we don't get promoted.

In fact befriend them, answer their stupid questions and buy them a bovril! Even if their kid is kicking you in the back all game!?

You sir are a twat!

So they keep coming back, start to enjoy it and become proper fans... sounds like a good thing to me

no grown man you could take seriously would genuinely argue about "who has been to the most games" or "who's dad's harder". if anything you should be slightly embarrassed that your life has so little meaning, that's why I'm assuming people who genuinely don't like fans who don't go much, are all under 20. I was immature too back then so fair play.

THIS!!!!

Why, why do they pick me every week?  It's a different kid every game.  I did attempt to break one little critters toes with my seat once.

Sit still, watch the game and stop kicking my seat.   Oooooooooh mi danders up now.

For goodness sake, just be happy that there are more people there for a great atmosphere.  Everyone of us who goes, whether to every game or just a handful a season, knows that the more people there, the better the atmosphere.

And if even just a couple turn into more regular fans, or even ST holders one day, then that is surely better for the club and therefore all of us as a whole?

What do I count as...?

I've supported LCFC since I was 9. Have been to 60-70 games, most at home, 4/5 away.

Not been this season. Every game I listen to/access somehow. Earn a lowish wage. 100 miles from Leicester.

Am I loyal/plastic/glory hunter/all/none of the above?

Virtually exactly the same situation.

Live in Bedford, work on Saturdays, have supported since about 6 or 7, only been twice this season. Had a season ticket in 03/04 season. Did I stop being 'loyal' then?

I hate the generalisation that some fans put across towards those who can't/don't make every game.

I'm going on Saturday - am I 'fair weather'. I know every single City player on the pitch, I won't kick someone's seat in front of me. I won't go to the bog x amount of times during the match. But because I haven't been to all games and will make an appearance on Saturday, I'm suddenly fair weather.

**** off.

Exactly this. Totally agree and well said.

People moan when the stadium is empty.

People moan when there's a chance for a full stadium.

Just can't please people at all.

If you watched the game last Saturday on T.V apparently you are also a cvnt.

Ah bollocks. Only watched the second half due to work. Ultra-cvnt?

Remember guys, you can't be a loyal fan unless you live and Leicester and have a season ticket  lol

Aw bugger!!

....I thought I was loyal, being a STH and living in Scotland, ....but just need to be content with being a "plastic".

Mack, where do you sit out of interest?  I'd quite like to move my seat and discuss with you the the pros and cons of Chris Woods and Anthony Nockurt.

There is always the possibility they are not actually fans of Leicester, I've taken mates and work colleagues to Leicester matches, the last time was Charlton away where my mate was joining in the chants but he also asked who our number 5 was, because he looked like a beast. Should I tell them not to come in the future and not take an interest and put money into my club unless they have done their homework?

here here mate, don't you just hate  those self righteous pricks who think a proper fan is someone who goes to every game? I'll go if i can and when i can!

These threads seriously annoy me. I go to every home game with my 6 year old son bar evening games btw and hopefully when he's older, we can get a st and go away as well as I used to before he came along. But what is wrong with people who like football but not enough to consider themselves die hard fans picking a good game as a family day out. I like the odd day out at Bradgate park but wouldnt want to go there every bloody week. Some people just want to see a game once in a while as an experience. Why not. I love to see the ground full. I don't expect everyone to swear on ' fossils and

foxes' that to be welcome they must pledge the rest of their existence to attending games, foresaking all other commitments in sickness or health, irrespective of their financial position till death do them part. Yes I am miffed I couldn't get into my usual stand for this game but thats my stupid fault for leaving it too late . Can't we just enjoy the atmosphere of a near full stadium........., and hope to f**k we win the friggin game

Think people are getting a bit worked up over little.

Mack is clearly emphasising on fans who turn up and clearly don't know much about the team or club and those who bring kids that are restless and always need the toilet (which can often be regulars). He's not saying everyone turning up without a ST is a plastic or glory hunter.

Let's face it - Leicester need all the fans they can get.

On the few games that I get up to the city early, ill have a look around the city centre with my kids and see loads of people in other shirts with a local accent.

If the club is ever going to get bigger, then more fans will have to be pulled in from a wider area because many of the locals have turned their back on the club.

Ok but my missus loves Lcfc. Like the rest of us She gets well hyper when we win and bloody grumpy when they lose. She swears at the radio on evening games and knows most of the players and even the offside rule!!! But (apart from Knocky who she is rather taken with ) she couldn't tell you a single shirt number or ID from a distance most of the players. I sit in the fs and as you mention every week the same kids trot to the toilet normally getting up just at the wrong time. Its not just occasional supporters. And maybe 1dad will take his son for the first time and that will lead to a lifetime of the same agony we are subjected to for that kid.... as he gets the bug we all caught on the first occasion we watched LCFC.
