Ground Shareing

I think the title of the thread refers to the idea that we had to share the ground with a set of people who don't normally turn up.

There are plenty of true City fans who might have made a rare visit after not being able to get, who had made an extra effort, but there were quite a few people who were there for the first time.

There were some rugby fans in the pub who were going to the game who hadn't been before.

To any Tigers fans who wonder why there are comments in this thread suggesting they drag the atnosphere down, I'd suggest the following :

Some of us remember when Tigers got about eight hundred; many professed to hate 'soccer', and actually cheered when it was announced City were losing. They claimed to hate everything about footy fans - wearing replica colours, decorating cars etc, but now have overtaken us on this. Their numbers have swelled enormously, but they have still retained the ability to have only about two chants.

Whilst this may make a better ambient noise than the rubbish served up by our fans on Tuesday, it is still nothing compared to a good match watching the City.

We've had a better atmosphere with a half empty ground, possibly because you can group together, or possibly because you're not supressed by being surrounded by people fiddling with their phones for 90 mins.

Really?

I don't see people as fans if they clap an opposition player and not our own. Deal with that, would rather the ground have 23,000 like the Burnley game than be full and have crumpets like that watch us.

Well i half hartedly claped the free kick they scored and i have had a season ticket before the new ground was thought about.......so guess i'm not on your TRUE fan list.

Really not keen on fans clapping other players. It shows people are taking some pleasure, however small, from the actions of the opposition.

When Wycombe equalised my only thought was "fvck, we've conceded" while others chose to congratulate their player. It just doesn't sit right with me at all. We're here to win, not show respect, you can do that after the game.

Would never clap another teams player off....but Silva has been class in the 2 FA cup games and the other nights...........replacing  him Sami Nasri!

Silva was very much unnoticed the other night, in fact I was slightly disappointed in a sense, on the other hand I thought Milner was a lot better for them and would've warranted a standing ovation

were you there?
