I remember this ws talked about before but Tonight I recon it was for real I was for the 1st and last time seated in J1 as my seat in L1 was given away to man city fans even when they sent L1 back mine was under the dividing covers so I had no choice . Well talk about shite half of them must have come to Watch Tigers the atmosphere was the worst I have ever experienced at a football match .Do us all a favour and stay at the rugby and if anyone ever offers you aticket in there say thanks but no thanks

L1 was the same mate if it was like that week in week out I wouldn't go. One guy had a man city top, one women was playing games, another was more interested in passing around sandwiches:.

Shocking to say the least I actually didn't enjoy it last night

Was terrible in L1, there was a woman sat near the back?? I don't get why some people are so stubborn when it comes to standing up at the football that they would rather not see the game than stand up.

If she couldn't physically stand then I'm sure if she'd asked the stewards they would have found her somewhere else to sit.

No one around me was up for singing, something drastic needs to happen to change the mentality of our fans before it gets too late and going to the football ends up like going to the cinema.

I'd have thought the atmosphere or apparent lack of it was more to do with the nature of the game as I've no doubt that if we'd have gone into an early lead it would have been completely different irrespective of the crowd make up.

It's less to do with who's there and more to do with our fans not getting behind the team at home when we're losing something we seemed to gain after leaving filbo or perhaps after watching 10 years of hopeless garbage.

Either that or we needed the ref to be a complete twat as that usually gets the crowd going more than winning a game.

Not sure if we're typical hut we sure are a funny set of fans no matter who's in it.

Problem was that all the fans on the ticket waiting list go dumped into L1, so basically all the part time fans. My mate had his 4 year old sister in there. I was in the H section for people moved from L1 but the atmosphere wasnt great and the people behind clearly had no interest in Leicester. Did get to stand up though, thank god

How on earth is this the Tigers fault?

And why do people moan about people who can't get to every game? People play sports, have family commitments, go to university etc. It was nice to see the stadium full for once and if anybody's to blame for the poor atmosphere, it's the regulars.

Or the players? Well....Wellens definitely.

Atmosphere and performance go hand in hand. The players need to give the fans something as well. Of course, fans are supposed to "support" but when the players' performance is lacklustre then the atmosphere will be fairly flat.

When I attend matches, yeah I join in and sing, but I know that there are periods of the game where I'm "on edge" more, generally because the opposition's performance will influence that.

I still maintain that newer grounds like ours contribute to the atmosphere. Just look at Old Trafford and The Emirates. Home atmosphere is generally poor, but when they go away from home they are two of the best supported clubs. We're in the same position, and so are many other teams. Older grounds with more character, where the fans seem on top of the players, are still my favourite grounds. Goodison Park is a prime example, and the atmosphere always seems good.

I once heard an interview with Dennis Bergkamp and he said one of his favourite grounds was Filbert Street. Of course, he was talking about that hattrick, but he just said the ground was tight and the fans were on top of the players.

But when the team aren't playing well a good atmosphere can help suck the ball into the net.

People who go to games expecting to be entertained are the problem.

Good to see these threads are made by people who have never been to a Rugby match before. Mind you, It was so well written and had such an appropriate title, that its no wonder I didn't get it...  :xmasblink:

Even when we've had good performances and big wins the atmosphere has been flat. Usually if we are struggling against a top side we respond with defiance or humour, last night there was neither, most just sat there listening to the excellent away support.

Atmosphere was pathetic last night. I was stuck in H and only me and my mate were starting chants and singing.

Groups and groups of kids around us, all willing to stand but none of them sing. This is what really does my head in, how hard is it to open your gob. Standing there like a lemon, giving it large but never sing? This is the problem.

Thats easy to answer.

How many would have turned up last night had it been barnsley in the league?

So an extra 10k can make a tues day night when it's man city but would not turn up for barnsley.

Where the **** are they every other game.

No I don't go now as I live in norfolk an is not easy for me now.

Yes My son could have got me a ticket but as I don't do games now I would not do that.

How many of them fans would have cued for a ticket on genral sale about 5%.

But as friends with season tickets picked up 6 they went fvcking glory hunters and real fans missed out.

Rant over.
