Guest ttfn Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 He's easily the best player at the club. We need to do whatever it takes to get the best out of him, even if it means him sacking off all defensive responsibilities. Given that Nugent has effectively been a waste of a shirt for most of the last 10 months, I fail to see the risk in trying Knockaert in a 4-4-1-1. He can't possibly contribute any less defensively (apart from the play-offs when Nugent did a fantastic job on Chalobah).\
Crinklyfox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 He beats players. OK he loses out more times than he succeeds but when he gets through he causes problems. There's not too many in the team that try to beat players rather than passing (Lloyd excepted and Schlupp if he plays) and I'd always like to have that threat in the side.
