Taggart to play?

Stoke have launched an appeal against the red card shown to defender Gerry Taggart against Sheffield Wednesday on the opening day of the season.

Taggart saw red for a foul on Leon Best after just 13 minutes on Saturday.

But after viewing the match video, the Potters have launched a bid to have the dismissal overturned in time for Tuesday evening's trip to Leicester.

The Football Association's disciplinary commission will meet on Tuesday to decide Taggart's fate.

he will play though if they've made an appeal the ban won't start until the appeal has been heard unless its heard b4 tommorrow night.
