stez Posted 10 August 2005 Posted 10 August 2005 In his Previous shows to Wembley he's never mentioned himself as "Monkeyboy".Also he has a selection of voices and facial expressions making him one of the funniest comedians around for me. 154257 re. the poll its got to be peter kay, as ricky gervais is shite re. lee evans he is one of the funniest people around (except his hollywood years)
Ric Flair Posted 11 August 2005 Posted 11 August 2005 I love them both. The thing is, Peter Kay is naturally funny and Gervais is very clever in his humour. You've got to generally like Gervais and the way he is to find him funny as there's alot of hidden comedy in there and that's what makes him piss funny. Peter Kay is amazing, his stand-up is every bit as funny as Pheonix Nights and hat's off to him for being as versatile as he is. Long may their presence on tv continue. I'd like to mention Steve Coogan aswell, obviously his Partrdige stuff was magical but i'm a big fan of his stuff he does on Paul Calf and Paulene Calf. I recommend getting his dvd with it on.
Janx Posted 11 August 2005 Posted 11 August 2005 Right, why do people have to CHOOSE or JUDGE, its this whole "my dads bigger than your dad mentallity" A bit like is a player shit or god... for goodness sake, can no-one be able to say that ALL 3 are genius, shining lights in the firmament of comedy that makes Britain better than anyone in this league!! I love them all have had the pleasure of seeing Kay and Evans live, and I think that Animals and Politics are hillarious as well as the Office and Extras.. ALL SUPERB!!

Katy Posted 19 August 2005 Posted 19 August 2005 I thought Steve Coogan was awesome as Paul Calf! Or am I just showing my age?? 159143 It depends how old you are. I have the video of the three fights, two weddings and a funeral that had Paul and Pauline Calf and Fat Blobby Bastard Bob (their words not mine) in - absolute quality!
