demon_dog Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 Having followed city for 40+years I look back and think of the teams, players and management we have had. For some who have only followed city for a short while, they can only imagine the success's we have had and failures! The question is how do you think in 10 years time you would look back on our current squad and management.
elangLCFC Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 Haven't been watching City properly for a while but I think I'll look back on what we have now as a group of people who all want Leicester City as a club to do well. Get the impression that so many of them (special mentions Knockaert and James) really care about the club as a whole and not just their own success and pay packet. NP could be looked back on as one of our best ever if he can do alright in the Prem imo.
foxfanazer Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 We have all the makings of a sustainable premier league team. We have a great mixture of youth and experienced heads and with a few quality additions I could see us doing a Southampton. We have great backroom staff in Shakey and Walsh who pick us out some gems of players. The feel good atmosphere is what I'll remember most
An Away Move Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 I think the legacy of the current team and management structure and will be mostly based on what happens next season. Right now it feels like we are on the crest of a very enjoyable wave, but we actually can't tell yet if it is the crest. Maybe we haven't peaked yet? We'll only truly know in retrospect.
An Away Move Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 Is it rose tinted specs to suggest this team is currently playing better than O'Neill's teams? MON's teams obviously won cups and performed higher in the league, but the game of football has moved on leaps and bounds since then. I think this team are better in purely football terms.
STEVIE B Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 I remember my dad taking me during the early/mid 70's and we were a great side. Weller, Worthington et al. The O'Neil years were brilliant, successful and the team never knew they were beaten. The current crop is a work in progress, but if Nige gets backing from the owners, then he and the players can certainly make their own piece of history. Exciting times !
