Transfer Window 2014 - speculation, linked players, articles

Thought we might as well have a catch-all thread like we have the past few seasons, instead of endless threads about individual players.

Here are a few I've seen recently that I haven't seen on here so far - apologies if any have already been posted:

Looks like the stuff about the frenchies could have some truth in it:

Andy Delort and Diafra Sakho (http://www.hat-trick.fr/leicester-piste-delort-et-sakho/) - I especially like the line "Nigel Pearson is fond of guzzling spaces" - good old Google Translate.

The Foxes have repeatedly sent recruiters supervise Andy Delort (22 years, 18 goals and 8 assists with Tours in Ligue 2) and Diafra Sakho (24 years, 18 goals and 3 assists with Metz in Ligue 2). They are part of this summer preferred ways to strengthen the offensive line, as well as Britt Assombalonga (21 years, Peterborough English D3). The common point of the three men? Speed! Leicester manager Nigel Pearson is fond of guzzling spaces. The club is also very satisfied with its market in Ligue 2 with Knockaert (adored by fans who often chant "Do not sell Knockaert ") and Mahrez taken this winter in Havre and has quickly established. By choosing young players in a less upscale championship, the possibility of gain is huge, not to mention an element of Ligue 2 rot less atmosphere (in theory) if it goes on the bench for a replacement Premier League.

Samuel Umtiti (http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/leicester-chase-lyons-defensive-prodigy/)

Leicester City are interested in signing Lyon’s promising defender Samuel Umtiti.

Umtiti, a left back, is seen as an ideal replacement for Paul Konchesky, who is reportedly leaving the club this season.

Umtiti is supposedly interested in a move to England

The France Under-21 international has recently attracted the interest of Newcastle United.

Leicester are known to have a good recruitment network in France, as proved with the inspired signings of Riyad Mahrez and Anthony Knockaert, the latter of whom was courted by Arsenal and Southampton last year.

On top of that, City boss Nigel Pearson has previously said that the public “probably won’t know the names of half our transfer targetsâ€, and Samuel Umtiti is hardly a household name.

Umtiti, 20, would reportedly welcome a move to the Premier League, and with the interest of The Foxes it seems perfectly possible that such a move could materialise this summer.

We had this debate before and the concensus was people prefer ibdividual topics for linked players and a general one for wished for players which we've gotand it seems to be working fine.

We tried this way in the past and it didn't work.

Some people aren't able to visit the site every day and don't want to trawl through pages in a single thread to find out who we've been linked to.

Diafra Sakho has been linked with Newcastle United as well, they see him as a replacement for Remy so he must have some potential.

Umtiti is a very good player but I will be surprised if we get him, he has been one of Lyon's best performers, and will surely be on the radar of the top European teams.
