Eminem Cancels European Tour

Eminem announced today that he will be canceling his European tour dates, which run from September 1st through 17th. Eminem is currently being treated for exhaustion, complicated by other medical issues. The shows are not expected to be rescheduled.

So thats pissed me off today. I was looking forward to it! His latest album wasnt great but he is a good performer and had some decent support artists! I understand it being cnacelled for exhaustion but at least try at re-schedule it!

Yes it is the Anger Management tour so know doubt the other acts will pull out now. Sure 50 cent didn't twist his arm a bit as he's scared of coming to UK.

Checked the website again and still the same. 50 Cent also said he will pull out as are the other supporting acts but some reports suggest that 50 might tour for a few dates, but i dont really want to see him or Poo-Unit.

Eminem in hospital

He's hooked on sleeping pills

19 Aug 05 - Eminem is in hospital being treated for an addiction to sleeping pills, it's emerged today.

The announcement from the star's label Interscope comes just two days after the rapper scrapped his European tour, citing "exhaustion" and "other medical issues."

The revelation that he's hooked on medication comes amid rumours that Eminem might retire at the end of his global Anger Management tour, which also featured his protege, 50 Cent.

However, the statement from his record company simply reads: "Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, is in the hospital under doctors' care. He's being treated for dependency on sleep medication."

There's no word on how long he's been in hospital, or which facility hes's in.

His European tour was set to kick off on September 1 in Hamburg and included dates at Milton Keynes, Edinburgh and Manchester before winding up on September 17 at Slane Castle near Dublin.

The dates will not be rescheduled.

Meanwhile, Eminem's gran Betty Kresin dispelled rumours that the cancelled dates were due to the rapper's imminent retirement.

She said: "He's my grandson. I've no comment but I know enough. My grandson cancelled his tour because he's ill. Sometimes we get sickness. He's been through a lot too. He's lost two uncles lately."

However, 50 Cent is still determined to come to the UK and announced some dates on his own yesterday.

So far, they include Glasgow on September 11, Nottingham Arena (13) and Manchester MEN Arena (15), though it's expected more dates will be added soon.

The very first CD (the one that he distributed himself from the trunk of his car) plus the Slim Shady LP contained some of the freshest tunes and some of the most hilarious lyrics I have ever heard. Remember the Mushroom song? lol

The latest couple of albums, however, were utter crap. No creativity, instead boring beats and meaningless texts.

I wish he could find himself again and produce another great album. He is a fun rapper, not a badass. And most of all, a very crappy gangsta rappa.
