Lobsterboyuk Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 I could do with a studio flat for a short period of time in or around Leicester city centre. Has anybody else on here recently lived in something similar and had a good or bad experience. Happy to pay up to 600 per month and also pay a sizeable security deposit but don't really want to have the hassle of taking on a proper short hold tenancy if possible with all the referencing requirements etc (my financial affairs are complicated and proof of earnings etc is difficult to produce in an acceptable form for the regular rental agents, especially in the short term...) Not interested in dirty dingy multi-occupancy bedsit places, must have its own kitchen (studio style wouid be OK) and bathroom , spotlessly clean and give a sense of security! Not even sure if such a thing exists? Anybody got any ideas?
TheUltimateWinner Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 I'm pretty sure they are practically giving the ones at highcross away for free? Atleast most seem empty
FoxesAreBlue Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Not sure of exact flats but give the Jamie Lewis company a google. I've never used them and they may be a bit dingy for you but I'm sure they have stuff around the city for short term living.

Good shout, not much choice on the website for my needs but that's on the right lines...
Rincewind Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 There is a big choice. A block is opened every week to replace shops and pubs.

Rincewind Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Will he have to pay the bedroom tax? Depends on what the landlord tells the council and whether the council can afford the £1000 per inspector they will have to send round to inspect and confirm.
