MC Prussian Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 Ciro Esposito, an innocent Napoli fan, was shot at and heavily injured in the midst of fights between Napoli and Roma fans after the Napoli - Fiorentina Coppa Italia final this May. Allegedly, there was also a well-established criminal element involved in that confrontation. Esposito was trying to prevent a rather known Roma hooligan, Daniele De Santis, from throwing paper bombs at a bus full with Napoli fans. Now, 50 days later and after having fought so hard for his life, Ciro Esposito is no more. His health apparently went from bad to worse following a lung operation a week ago. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2108991-napoli-announce-death-of-ciro-esposito-fan-wounded-before-coppa-italia-final Saddening. P.S.: De Santis is now being tried for voluntary manslaughter.
Guest MattP Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 Read about this, wasn't the Roma fan pissed up and working in a cafe and just starting firing? Unbelievable thing to happen, bonkers. RIP Ciro.
Darkon84 Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 It's crazy to see this kind of fighting happening so regularly over there. RIP Ciro
Stevosevic Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 Imagine if that had happened in England, there would be some serious punishments handed out by FIFA to our clubs. Same can be said for the multiple racist banners you see when you go to a game over there, if that had happened in England they would probably close the stadium for a year.
