One look at the ref to appeal for the penalty and a swift rejection from the ref and suddenly Robben had been mysteriously healed . I remember Suarez doing it vs Norwich/Stoke either last season or the season before. Writhed around in agony, didn't get a free-kick and jumped up like a spring to berate the referee.

Allowing the press full access to ask him anything they wanted. Do you think that openness would happen if an english player admitted diving? No chance, he'd be handled with kid gloves, the press wouldn't be allowed to ask him anything. It learns players responsibilities for their actions, I believe this has a real bearing during matches, you can see evidence of this when it comes to the crunch moments when our players wilt other nations players raise their games. It's no different to the ridiculas 9 point plan that the FA handed out to the players for interviews telling them what they shouldn't talk about, every tiny bit of responsibility is taken away from them, rather than this helping the players to focus on just the games it seems to hinder them.
