Beliall Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 That's awesome. Halfway there. All down to greece now.
Amin Posted 29 June 2014 Author Posted 29 June 2014 Great effort Mexico. I hope Ochoa gets a fat contract after this tournament.
Gary Eatfood Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Well a) there was and b) he has been fouled all game and got nothing. There wasn't, 1st half he should have had a pen but the ref has just been conned.
Haydos Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 There wasn't, Are you kidding? http://gfycat.com/KnobbyHonestIriomotecat Genuinely think some of you lot are blind.
Stuliasz Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Is there anyone in this thread whose opinion isn't influenced by a bet for Holland?
Kitchandro Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 So undeserved. Robben really is a shit. His face when he threw himself in the air, embarrassing for someone who probably calls himself a man (regardless of whether there was a bit of contact). If Holland's odds were slashed because they beat Spain 5-1 they should be lengthened after that ordinary performance.
Haydos Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 There wasn't, 1st half he should have had a pen but the ref has just been conned. Another one, have another look pal.
MPH Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Wanted Holland to win but that's a shameful way to do it....
ScouseFox Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Is there anyone in this thread whose opinion isn't influenced by a bet for Holland? nah I wanted holland to win anyway cos they're cool. can't believe people think he dived he stood on his foot clear as day.
martyn Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Mexico contributed massively to their own downfall. Retreated far far too much at 1-0 and stopped holland from needing to worry about anything defensively
Unabomber Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 embarrassing for someone who probably calls himself a man
Gary Eatfood Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Another one, have another look pal. No, minimal if at all and even more of a dive then I first thought.
Haydos Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 No, minimal if at all and even more of a dive then I first thought. Look at the gif. It. Is. A. Penalty. Minimal contact is still contact, he's tripped him when he cuts back in. Yes he's bought it but he's impeded him and stood on his foot.
Stuliasz Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 I take back what I said about no contact. Absolute minimal contact, easily avoidable and nowhere near enough to go down = simulation. Both sides should have had a penalty earlier in the game, but there's no way that one should have been given.
ScouseFox Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 I think Marquez and the whole defence just lose concentration because they think the ball might've gone out, split second too late and he's stood on him. Made the most of it but clearly he needed to make a deal of any contact seen as he'd been give nothing all day despite being fouled most times he had the ball.

And a great world cup profile pic to boot.
MPH Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 nah I wanted holland to win anyway cos they're cool. can't believe people think he dived he stood on his foot clear as day. Have another look, pal His foot was right against it but not on top. If his foot was on top of robbens, how was he able to get his foot about without the Mexicans foot moving?
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Phew that was close. Hard luck on the Mexicans who were very good.
Gary Eatfood Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Look at the gif. It. Is. A. Penalty. Minimal contact is still contact, he's tripped him when he cuts back in. Yes he's bought it but he's impeded him and stood on his foot. I have done and on the tv, it's a dive!
Stadt Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 There's definite contact but I don't think it's enough to send him down, he kicks his own calf which sends him tumbling then flings himself making it look really artificial.
wakeyfox01 Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Made the most of it but clearly he needed to make a deal of any contact seen as he'd been give nothing all day despite being fouled most times he had the ball. He's brought that on himself through his persistent cheating throughout his career.
Stuliasz Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 I can see why some still think it's a penalty, and certainly why the ref game it in real time. My view is that there was not enough contact to warrant him going down. He wasn't trod on or he wouldn't have been able to get his foot out of there to do the theatrics that he did. Can you honestly not see Haydos why there is a case for it being a dive?
