surrifox Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Not Marcin Wasilewski. James Wesolowski, injury-prone midfielder who used to play for us. Thanks Ealing - didn't spot that
bluesbrothers Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Should be an interesting one, this. My mate at Uni, while having no real passion for football, occasionally feigns interest in Shrewsbury Town and so will no-doubt be pretending that this is an absolutely massive occasion that will swallow all conversation in the house for the next two weeks. To trot out the old cliché, it's a potential banana skin, but I really do hope we win, otherwise I will never hear the last of it, barring that I crack and sever his voicebox from his throat. One other factual tidbit about the town - though usually pronounced "Shroesbury" by visitors and the media, that being the pronunciation from it's olde-English name, all normal folk in the town call it "Shrewsbury", as in the small rodent with the nasty bite (Suarezbury). Only the "posh twats", according to all the people I've met from there apart from my friend with the false interest in STFC, pronounce it "Shroesbury". He gets quite mardy about it, bless him.
reynard Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 I think it is pretty obvious that Pearson will make 11 changes for this game. Maybe one or two of the injured players may get a run out. Along with most of the lower end of the Premier League we are going to have almost zero interest in either of the cups. Crowd will be between 8000 and 10000.
