True but 'Non-drinking non-smoking father of two Eastern European finds a job soon after arriving in England.' does not make as good a headline as 'Scrounging illegal Romanian immigrant with 12 children claims £2000 pw week in benefits after being given a rent free house 3 weeks after arriving in England.'

Thanks. Just need to take some time out to learn new habits re. not getting into too many time-consuming political debates, probably convincing nobody and failing to get on with other stuff in life.

 

I'll avoid political threads for a while....but will have to be back in time for the election campaign. Mind you, I'd also better avoid football threads, as they'll be a nightmare, too, until we start winning again...

In general people just want a better life for their kids and they'll go to any lengths to try and get it.
