The Guvnor Posted 21 December 2014 Share Posted 21 December 2014 No, as I have already posted looking for a proven prolific striker will cost us mega bucks and it is not our only problem area, we also need to strengthen the back four so I would be inclined to test the loan market. Charlie Austin was prolific for Swindon Town, there are bargains in lower leagues you just have to take a punt, Dele Alli looks an exciting prospect a creative midfielder who knows where the net is. Bamba's Babes Posted 21 December 2014 Author Share Posted 21 December 2014 I haven't said anywhere that this would be our only signing. The question is would you back the £20m transfer of Charlie Austin who, in my opinion, would undoubtedly aid our survival hopes.
Buzzell Posted 22 December 2014 Share Posted 22 December 2014 Has he even been linked with us or is this just complete BS?

Fox92 Posted 22 December 2014 Share Posted 22 December 2014 Always liked Austin but for £20million, no. Just waiting for him to pick up his annual arm injury and see how QPR cope without him, in which they won't.
Bilo Posted 22 December 2014 Share Posted 22 December 2014 Once Austin's goals dry up, which they will given he's not exactly Ronaldo, QPR will tumble down the table like a turd round a U bend.
Fox92 Posted 22 December 2014 Share Posted 22 December 2014 65% - Charlie Austin has scored or assisted 65% of QPR’s goals this season; more than any other Premier League player. Wow.
Bilo Posted 22 December 2014 Share Posted 22 December 2014 Wow. So basically, they're fvcked when he gets injured/suspended/has a dip in form/sold to a bigger club.
