Katy Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 I think it's more down to a bit of desperation.... I just hope we don't talk him up so much he feels the pressure, We need to treat him how villa have looked after Grealish. We will be getting a winger in january. But we need cover for liverpool. I think when they say "recalled" it was more than Rotherham wanted to extend it and we refused. Yep, would agree with that.
cityfanlee23 Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Yep, would agree with that. Let's just hope we have a real gem on our hands!
queensguardfox Posted 30 December 2014 Author Posted 30 December 2014 Tom Lawrence returns to Leicester City... Tom Lawrence has completed his loan spell with Rotherham United and has returned to parent club Leicester City. The striker was an instant hit with the AESSEAL New York Stadium fans making six appearances which included a goal in the 2-1 victory over Wigan Athletic. Manager Steve Evans hailed the 20-year-old for his contribution with the youngster now rejoining Leicester’s fight for Premier League survival. “Young Tom has been outstanding on and off the pitch in his short time with us,” Evans told www.themillers.co.uk “He may well be back again, we’ll have to wait and see. I had a long chat with Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson yesterday and he needs immediate cover as he is losing a couple of players due to the forthcoming African Nations Cup. “We are grateful to Nigel and Leicester City for allowing us to have Tom here and I have no doubt we will look to do further player business in January.” Rotherham United would like to thank Tom for his contribution whilst with the club. jimmer Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Answer to what? They looked to extend his loan because he did well. We said not at the mo as we are short ourselves... No-body was recalled!! his loan ended

jimmer Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Gotchya Yes agree entirely, but would like to see him on the bench and given a shot
Blue Ed Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Following recent performances I'd do very little but slip Schlupp to LB and play Vardy on the left. I would bring Knocky on at some point as I've a feeling he'll be playing a part when Mahrez leaves. Hamer Simpson Wes Was Schlupp Drinkwater Cambo Mahrez Nugent Vardy Ulloa
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 I think Vardy is more suited to play on the flanks. He should have won a penalty when coming in from the left hand side against Spurs and did so against United. He will win a lot of free kicks with his pace alone, and gives us an outlet with those long diagonal balls. And let's not forget the stonewall penalty he also should have had when too quick for Mangano against Man City. He's not been as potent as I would have hoped, but he does cause teams problems.
