queensguardfox Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Konch suspended... Jeff off to afcon... Who plays LB? I think albrighton or knocky will step in for JS. Although konch is a pain in the backside, that left now does look weak without JS defensive capabilities covering konch. Who do you have on that left side?
Stevosevic Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Jeff at LB and Knocky in front. Jeff isn't pissing off yet is he?
RowlattsFox Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 I've got a feeling he'll bring Drinkwater in and have James playing in a narrow left position.
queensguardfox Posted 28 December 2014 Author Posted 28 December 2014 I sure this was mahrez last game the pundits said.
Raw Dykes Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 I think we'll be forced to play De Laet at left back if Konch and Schlupp are both unavailable. He claims he can play anywhere across the defence.
cjslcfc Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Mahrez and Schlupp are available for Liverpool and the FA Cup I think.
shailen Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 i would play vardy on the left, his pace and energy could cause havoc
Mark Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Nige usually tries out a random formation on New Years day so if it's 352 we'd only need Schlupp.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 i would play vardy on the left, his pace and energy could cause havoc I've been thinking that all season, but barring one game he just hasn't really caused many problems at all. Schlupp at left back with Mahrez in front, Simpson at right back and not sure about RM, 3 or 4 genuine options, I'd like to give Knocky a run about but against Liverpool would be more inclined to play someone more defensive minded.
Richkel5 Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Jeff at LB for me. Vardy at left mid, tho would love to see knocky given ago.
lgfualol Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Schlupp & Knocky would be a bad combo in my opinion. For defending Knocky can't run, can't tackle and will just fall over all the time. Schlupp can run and isn't that solid at the back.
Swarles Barkley Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Vardinho looked decent in pre season. With liverpool recently experimenting with 3-5-2 formation it could leave a lot of space for vardy to exploit
DennisNedry Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 Moore can fill in or just play De Laet that side. Bakayogo Worst first post ever!
shailen Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 I've been thinking that all season, but barring one game he just hasn't really caused many problems at all. Schlupp at left back with Mahrez in front, Simpson at right back and not sure about RM, 3 or 4 genuine options, I'd like to give Knocky a run about but against Liverpool would be more inclined to play someone more defensive minded. I think Vardy is more suited to play on the flanks. He should have won a penalty when coming in from the left hand side against Spurs and did so against United. He will win a lot of free kicks with his pace alone, and gives us an outlet with those long diagonal balls.
dayday Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 Nigel Pearson would have known there was a fair chance these two could be going to the ANC,the planning for this season has been a joke. So Konchesky is suspended,Jeff is off... no left back at all Need to do some business quick and very quick
The Blue Moon Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 Schlupp at LB Vardy left wing. Go at them with a load of pace. Hamer Schlupp Morgan Wasilewski Simpson Drinkwater Cambiasso Vardy Mahrez Nugent Ulloa
Dickov22 Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 Stick Jeff at left back and bring another body into the midfield. Kasper De Laet Wasilewski Morgan Schlupp Cambiasso James Drinkwater Mahrez Nugent Ulloa Similar way in which we lined up second half at Stoke. 2 up top, 3 in the middle for a more compact side, Nugent linking the play, plus a natural wide man in there in Mahrez. Vardy to come on
Crinklyfox Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 Jeff at LB. Knocky in front of him. If Liverpool do have a weakness it's in defence, we need someone who will take them on. I'd keep Vardy as a sub for either Ulloa or Nugent (if they both start), he can cause problems through the middle.
Mike Oxlong Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 Could we just leave it vacant as a tribute to Konch?
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 Hamer De Laet Wes Was Simpson Drinkwater James Mahrez Nugent Schlupp Ulloa Subs: Smith, Moore, Hammond, Cambiasso, Knockaert, Wood, Vardy
Robin JD Popley Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 I know this is blatantly obvious to all of us but hopefully this 'dilemma' will only but reinforce the point home to NP that we do need a new LB. Martin Olsson or George Friend for me - but I think the former would jump at the opportunity to come back to the Premiership. However, in the interim, it has to be Jeff if he is still around for a few more days at LB and Knockaert in front of him. I sincerely hope Albrighton gets more of a go at some point too as a) he cannot improve without game time and b) why on earth did we sign him in June if we had no intention of playing him? The more it goes on, the more it proves how much of a cock-up our summer dealings were.
Silverdaz Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 We must keep Jeff left wing as he has been playing very well there I would play De Laet there like he did closing stages aginst Hull and Vardy in for Ulloa if he is not fit
