EnglishOxide Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Here's what I think went down last night. And this is not based on Gary Linekers tweet (who is always quite piss taking with his quips anyway). More an assumption based on logic. Tops dad ordered the sacking of Nige as he is big on respect and honour after he saw and misunderstood the McArthur incident and saw it as detrimental to the King Power image. Nige was told, he told his backroom staff. It was leaked. Top himself was not consulted and when he found out he reversed the decision and reasoned with his old man as he is a little more in touch with the situation on the ground and realised it was a bad decision with no alternatives lined up. Anyway, I think today's press conference shows that Nige has the backing until the end of the season. He wouldn't come in and talk about loyalty to the owners otherwise. With that in mind, let's ****ing get behind him. According to a poll on this forum two thirds of us last night thought sacking him was the wrong move. The third who believe it was the right move now need to suck it up, accept that they were in the minority (and therefore their opinion is no more right than anybody else's) and support the team. Support the manager and show some respect to him for what he has achieved for us. You may not be happy about it. You may not like it. But that's the way it is. Its done. Dusted. Its us against the Premier League. Now whether we stay up or go down. Support Leicester City.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I think thats about right, good shout there
GaelicFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I'm sort of agreeing, he is having a mare but pressure doesn't help him. He is there till end of year at least so support the team 100%, I can see trouble if arsenal declare at halftime tomorrow and some start singing one nigel Pearson
MPH Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Could be close. Think they wanted to sack him but might of found out how much it would of cost them to. Probably waiting to see what becomes of the mcarthur incident to see if there is a way they can sack him without it costing them anything....
RedSoxUK Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Would also like to point out that we're starting to look like a side capable of winning and securing more points now. Not only did we create chances vs Crystal Palace, but we dominated possession, dominated the opportunities, and look a clear cut better team than they did.I know we lost, and that 3 points has slipped away, but at least we were in this thing and looked the better team, only to be undone by a set-piece (to the guy who says set-piece goals are not as important as I think - they just are.) The return of James and great performance by him v Palace has signaled his starting position in that midfield, he's probably our future. And Mahrez looks more than capable of fitting in to a top 6 team that's constantly on the attack. Keep playing to our strengths, keep picking our best players, and the mould will form before those crucial relegation battle games. Onwards and upwards.
