What a stupid comparison

Memo to Self - Ask Hungry Hungry Fox for his permission to have an opinion. Also expect a half-witted response that makes no sense.

Sure this will fire a few memories for us older fans. Without wishing to fuel the current Pearson situation, this is why many of us find it difficult to accept the current state of affairs. Fans, atmosphere, decent players. What great days!

Yep. Me too. 5-2, 3 goalies and Lineker in a Leicester shirt.

Amazed this wasn't in the BBC top 50 cup moments when you see some of the sh*te that did make it.

I was there. I was also at Villa Park for the semi against Spurs :(

Some fantastic memories and games in this thread, i went to all the FA cup games as a schoolboy in the 73/74 season, great days indeed...

Glad the Man City game has been mentioned. I was 15 at the time. Didn't want to post about the game or QPR, because it was over 40 years ago and FT seems to relate to more recent times.

Thought I was a tough guy back in 68, but cried with emotion at the end. The atmosphere was unbelievable. We will never beat the emotion of 42000 in a night cup replay at Filbo. Just glad I experienced quite a few.

Didn't cry again until the Wembley win in 1994.

One of the best atmospheres of recent years IMO was Norwich away in the FA cup. One of those rare days when Beckford was bang on form. When the goal went in, we went crazy.

Greatest moments watching Allan Clarke scoring the winner in the last few minutes at Hillsborough to beat West Brom in the 1969 semi-final. And standing in the Holte end watching Lenny Glover score the equaliser v Liverpool at the Liverpool end when the Liverpool fans were in the middle of a full rendition of you'll never walk alone, and all the scarves just dropped in an instant

Worst moments, Watching them lose the final in 1969 to Man City. Watching them lose 1-0 to Harlow, and losing 2-1 to Millwall when winning 1-0 until very late and we had Walsh and Ramsey sent off!!

Other stand out moments 2-0 down at half-time to Leatherhead (2 city players arguing on the half-way line Birch and Sammels ??),coming back to win 3-2

Qtr final v Shrewsbury 5-2 a few city players had a turn in goal !!
