Well Levein did say in pre-season that he was not going for instant success, he wanted to build the team up however long it takes

I think the January transfer window will be a key time for Foxes if we can keep in touch and then make a surge after then if the goals don't fly in up until then. I think maybe he should look abroad for a striker, maybe a bit of a flair player.

I would prefer we build and finish in the top 10.

It would be catastrophic to go up this season, as much as it pains me to be in this league for one more year we need time to build.

If we go up this year, it will be straight back down, and we will lose players in the process.

We have the nucleus of a good team, along the same lines as MON.

Playoffs?!

You've got to be joking. We don't have the goalscorer. Do you seriously expect us to finish in the top 6 above the likes of Southampton, Wolves, Sheff U, Reading, Leeds, Ipswich, Derby, Norwich, Palace etc.??

I said we'd finish somewhere between 8-12th before a ball was kicked, and I haven't seen witnessed anything thus far that convinces me otherwise.

We have to be realistic here. Even with Connolly, we just don't seem capable of scoring goals on a regular basis. Games against Ipswich an Luton were a throwback to last season where we struggled to break down the opposition. I can see a number of games this season where we'll struggle to score goals at home, simply because the opposition have set their stall out not to concede.

Take the Stoke game for example - They came out to play attacking football and conceded 4. Teams are wary of opening themselves up away from home, so the number 1 aim for most is safety first. With Elvis and Hume at our disposal, hopefully we'll have some pace over the top to worry teams now. We never really had that with Connolly or any other striker in the squad.

Defending and attacking set pieces are also holding us back. I'm sure we would be able to turn more draws in to wins if we weren't so susceptible to conceding from them.

I think we can potentially look forward to Hughes returning in midfield, Hume/Elvis providing some pace upfront, and maybe (A big maybe) defensive and attacking set pieces being improved upon.

At least we have a break to sort it out.
