We already look like a play off's at best side

Thracian Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 If CL totally rebuilds the club and secures us a play-off place with an inexperienced team of relative youngsters - and all within 20 months or so, someone should strike a medal for him. It will be an outstanding achievement from scratch.

This isn't a criticism or lack of faith in the club, manager or players, just a more realistic expectation of what a club going through a rebuilding process can hope to achieve in their first season. CL and the players need time and we, as fans, should expect there to be inconsistent results and performances for a large part of this season. I'll be satisfied if we finish in the top half of the table and happy if we finish top 10.

TAFKA Castroneves Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 At the moment I want to just get this season out of the way and finish anywhere, then next year I'd say top 8 - with hopefully a playoffs run, we are a Championship side, we are no longer a Premiership side and we need to build properly to be able to become that again...and that ultimatly takes time.

It would be catastrophic to go up this season, as much as it pains me to be in this league for one more year we need time to build. If we go up this year, it will be straight back down, and we will lose players in the process. We have the nucleus of a good team, along the same lines as MON.
