NorthernFox Posted 24 February 2017 Share Posted 24 February 2017 This article in the Guardian makes more sense then a lot of the drivel I've seen reported in the last couple of days......... https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2017/feb/24/claudio-ranieri-leicester-city-hardly-madness
oxtonfox Posted 24 February 2017 Share Posted 24 February 2017 Yep agreed a good article and reporter's assessment. There's a lot of truth in there but the thoughtful additions make it worth a read.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 24 February 2017 Share Posted 24 February 2017 Barnay Ronay and Henry Winters are probably the best football journos in the business, and the thing that makes them similar is that they don't descend into clickbaiting madness to fit in with the masses. biggs Posted 25 February 2017 Share Posted 25 February 2017 Great article without allowing emotion to conceal the reality of this year
old koppite Posted 25 February 2017 Share Posted 25 February 2017 Yep, very balanced - I'm going to quote it to my stupid friends who are Norwich fans- they've enjoyed taking the p by saying I come from " Leicester nil", and who are now saying we're a hated club. SpinneyHillRanger Posted 25 February 2017 Share Posted 25 February 2017 It's "too balanced" for my liking. It doesn't communicate the great imbalance and extremes of last season and this. It just makes out that our acheived last year was a bit of hard work and professionalism and not utter madness.... And likewise this year... Just fine margins. Personally I think it's utter madness to sack the man who won the league with our club. And only 9 months after doing it with such style and dignity. Madness was also buying players BMW s and making vardys ego bigger by putting his mug on everyone's seat to wear. It's player power gone mad. Ranieri made a few poor decisions throughout this season but none could be described as outright mad.... sacking team psychologist and Well maybe preferring schlupp/musa to gray.... Sticking with huth and Morgan.... They all stabbed him in the back anyway
