  1. Yup, just watched the first bit of it and he does seem defeated - certainly different to previous pressers
  2. He’s just bloody annoying
  3. For all his experience he didn’t realise he had more time instead of the blind snap shot- poor
  4. Maybe we’ll get a solid 90 minutes performance with a win and build team confidence? We can only hope
  5. He was alright by his standards- good assist for our goal and got forward well- showed energy to get in a dangerous position for one of our best chances in the 2nd half
  6. First part right but we conceded from O’Hora playing a needless poor pass forward near the half way line which they intercepted.
  7. Great post- really interesting thanks!
  8. And many on here still moan!
  9. Ha, I’ve just watched it again- he turned on the line of the 18 yard box and struck the ball well inside the box, and not on the angle- so about 17 yards. I was only focusing on the implication that all our goals were 20 yarders. Not strange at all to question exaggerations on FT- mind there’s too many of them to on here to question! A lucky win , with encouraging signs from our new players it seems.
  10. I read your comment to mean that - “ We scored goals through quality 20 yard strikes that you cant always account for” The box is 18 yards. Oh I accept we were lucky to get the win from what I’ve read on here. I managed to watch the last 20 minutes - they missed some great chances, but when RM changed the back line I thought we looked comfortable and would hold on. Yes, I agree we need to respond much better - hopefully the new players will give us that.
  11. So not all 4 then. ( I assume you’re including Cullen’s- it was a lovely turn and nice strike on his preferred foot, but I don’t remember it as a 20 yarder). Anyway, very pleased we won ( I don’t care how), and hope the squad can now settle and we start a run of good form).
  12. Just watched the highlights , but I didn’t see 4 20 yard strike goals? Just 1 ?
  13. Blimey, their CF definitely out ran Souttar there didn’t he! ( but like that goal away when HS held his hand up for offside and didn’t try to react.)
  14. I agree with you. There were some of us, including myself , who thought we did look fitter in pre season though, and were pleased to hear RM talk about “ run harder” etc and that he was aware of the concerns about fitness . Youngsters should be able to run all day- I remember myself at 21 in local football; 3 games in a weekend😂! So you’re right, seeing the academy players in the friendlies sprinting and showing bags of energy gave us false hope. I wonder if the approach of careful passing and low risk systems sets a sub conscious tempo for some players, which they find out to shake out of in the latter stages of a game.
  15. I agree, but pre season we were happy with how much fitter we looked in the friendlies, so what’s gone wrong?
  16. Nah, he’s not going anywhere yet. It’s 6 days to the next game. He’ll move LT to lb, and use 2 big cbs at Stockport. He’ll use a DCM , and we’ll squeeze a draw or get a fluky win at Stockport.
  17. Ha ha- very good - I like it - that’s cheered me up. what an anti climax yesterday was ….
  18. Shurrup
  19. Just watched his LCFC interview on YouTube. What else could he have said ? He took blame, and said that result was unacceptable . He rightly said we had no energy first half, young players playing 3 games in a week. and about his subs. I’m stunned by the 4 -0 but still think we’ve got a squad good enough for the play offs, once they settle. So I’m still on the fence with him. As to the comments on here about his diet etc- grow up you idiots- always resort to slagging off each manager because they don’t fit your little echo chamber criteria .
  20. Eh? Didn’t you see his recovery runs against their very good winger in the first half?
  21. What did he say ?
  22. The LT as CB trial fails- let’s just have 2 big buggers as CBs like Oxford and the other L1 teams and be hard to play through.
  23. Or deny that we’d have been 3-0 up if BDCR had not chipped that easy chance over the bar mid way through the 2nd half
  24. Then the highlights weren’t a fair reflection of the game. 1st half our attacking play was fast and exciting, and we created several good chances. They were the usual workhouse league 1 crap. We nearly gifted them a couple of goals purely through our own suicidal passes at the back. Their forward left one on Jacob in the first 30 seconds. Second half we still tried to attack and again had some flowing moves- BDCR missed another sitter. We seemed to tire last 10 , and McCarthy pulled off some cracking saves. Overall a good performance and a deserved win.
