ozleicester Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 Ok folks, heres the answer, ive just done it and am the proud soon to be owner of two tickets. 1) Ring the ticket office 0844 815 5000 2) Wait on hold for 20 minutes 3) When answewred, tell them you "wish to express an interest in becoming a memeber, but the packages arent on the site yet, and that you understand this means you can also buy a ticket to the RM game". 4) give them your details so they can send you the membership details 5) order and pay for your ticket. 6) sit back and smile contentedly 7) wonder if its going to be this difficult to get the tics for kettering.
stockyfox Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 I phoned at precisely 9am and only had to wait a mere 19 minutes 58 seconds before my call was answered. I was persuaded to 'hold' by this lady's voice which politely requested me to 'Please hold........please hold.......please hold........your call will be answered as soon as possible....please hold........' repeated ad infinitum. Not being a STH, I was not happy to see on the official website this morning that tickets were now available to 'prospective' members but only by turning up 'in person' to the ticket office! I have to say that I am at a total loss in trying to understand the Club's reticence. I have received umpteen e-mail newsletters urging me to 'purchase Real Madrid tickets NOW'. I really was beginning to wonder if the right hand actually knew that the left hand was only allowing their sale to STH's. Anyway, I was allowed without any fuss or embarrassment, to purchase two tickets - with the promise that Membership details would be forwarded in due course - when they knew what they were! The question I didn't ask was 'What happens to my tickets if I decide not to become a member?'!!!!!!!!

sbfox Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 I will have my tickets lonnnnnng before i make any decisions on my membership, so Kinda dumps on members and people who have bothered to pay for the privilege of these perks... I don't think members are 'better' fans at all, but it just seems very cheap to me. FWIW I'm not a member either.

Not a member or ST holder, but last year spent more than a few hundred pounds on City tickets and merchandise so... i dont give a cr*p about how my purchase affects others I Paid 28 pounds to see this friendly and will pay to go to see a leicester XI play against Kettering plus numerous away games etc this year. If that seems cheap to you.. fair enough, and im not saying you or anyone else MUST do it. Im Plastic and proud
Guest Mee-9 Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 Good lad! Anyway to swizz the club out of money goes far in my books. Not even being sarcastic, but you payed £28 for a ticket for a friendly, in hard times, why the hell should you be a member. What do you even get as a member? Few home games a year? Pretty poor package anyway.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 Think yourselves lucky! I rang 3times to get an away ticket for cardiff in the playoff. After exactly 20mins on hold they terminated my call. As I said, that happened 3 times. What a waste of money
stockyfox Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 In answer to my own question, (at the end of my earlier post in this thread,) I am told that if, on receiving Membership details, one decides not to purchase a Membership sub, then there's not a lot the Club can do about it -which makes me think that to all intents and purposes, it's no different to being on general sale except that during this Members week, one will get a slightly better choice.
shailen Posted 3 July 2011 Posted 3 July 2011 Just wanted to know if there were still tickets available for this game
Larry_LCFC Posted 4 July 2011 Posted 4 July 2011 Call answered after 5 minutes. Interest declared, 2 tickets bought. So stupid. Seeing as anyone can do that, why not just release them on GS now and cut all this crap. Stupid. But hey ho I'll be there to watch us get beat
