Cobbo Posted 24 September 2004 Posted 24 September 2004 Hmmm, I got 3. But I'm sure it'll be wrong in some way
Cobbo Posted 24 September 2004 Posted 24 September 2004 I thought 6. 21389 I'll blame my injury for this too should I be totally wrong ::
Mark Posted 24 September 2004 Author Posted 24 September 2004 ANSWER: There are six F's in the sentence. A person of average intelligence finds three of them. If you spotted four, you're above average. If you got five, you can turn your nose at almost anybody. If you caught six, you are a genius. FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE- SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIF- IC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS.

Anish Posted 25 September 2004 Posted 25 September 2004 I got 6 too - and I don't think I'm a genius or anywhere near it!
ROSSINDA Posted 25 September 2004 Posted 25 September 2004 I got 6 too - and I don't think I'm a genius or anywhere near it! 21442 I got 23 ..... was I wrong?
Babylon Posted 25 September 2004 Posted 25 September 2004 Don't be too worried if you got three, i'd say it's more about speed reading. Like when you read a book you don't actually read all the words your brain sees the first letter or two of a word, calculates the previous words and fills in the ending letter/letter without you actually finishing the whole word. Thats my excuse anyway!!
desert fox Posted 25 September 2004 Posted 25 September 2004 Alright, I must be a genius than, I had six also.
Guest freund Posted 25 September 2004 Posted 25 September 2004 It's because when you read it quickly the brain pronounces 'of' as 'ov' so it doesn't register as an f. Apparently.

Head Honcho Posted 23 February 2006 Posted 23 February 2006 Found this reason for most people saying 6 on another site Most of what we see is what we're trained to see. Creativity is understanding these patterns and looking for algorithms that allow you to find what you're looking for anyway. Business as usual finds three F's. A disciplined creative person finds six
