Grass roots scheme.

My daughter has brought home a letter from the school today trying to sell tickets for City v Northampton.

Adults-£14, children-£3. and under 8 free.

Will everybody else be able to buy tickets at this price. I would have thought that this would be one of the bigger attendances of the season. Why would the club reduce prices for this game?

why would it, they maybe local but it's only Northampton, there is no rivalry between us and them (except for people that may live there)

OS Pricing is somewhat different for adults.

Match ticket prices start from just £23 for Adults, £21 for Seniors, £15 for under 22's and Students, £10 for 12-15 year olds, £5 for 8-11 year olds and £3 for under 8's. Under 8's in the Family Enclosure are FREE.

If someone wants to try it it says ring the ticket office and mention the school (Sts Peter & Paul, Syston). The school get a pound for every ticket sold.

Who cares save my self £7 can not be bad.

Can you put a price on it? No atmosphere with lots of younger kids going 'look look it's filbert....hey it's filbert filbert the fox' :w00t: all the way through the game?

Good for the family side etc but not my cup of tea. I wouldn't move there if I were paid £7. Nice to see the club trying to bring more kids into the ground, but I wouldn't say I belong to a school and move there to save a few quid.

Am I wrong in thinking there's a specific section for such school kids, which is near the fusions restaurant side of the family stand? I'm not 100% sure.

As for N, that became shit the day I got my season ticket there last year.

Top of SK3. It's nothing special but it's better than the family stand in terms of atmosphere.

I would imagine that if the stadium was more full they may restrict them to a certain part of the ground :dunno:

Thats the normal price, if you ring up quoteing whatever is on the bottom off the grass roots letter you will get them discounted.

I'm aware it's the normal price that's why I posted it so that people could see the difference.

The fact that these schemes can be so easily exploited by those in the know at the expense of those paying the full price makes me very anti these community projects.

When our school did them I thknk we had to buy the tickets through the school, so it was easy to keep track of who was buying them

Yes but it's obvious that it's not being controlled and people nothing to do with the schools are getting tickets, the club wont be too concerned as it's obvious match day prices are too high and they are happy to sell at £14.
