dave the caveman Posted 1 July 2010 Author Posted 1 July 2010 Are we defining foreign as outside of England or UK? Out of the UK. Speaks a different language. Eats weird spicy food. Looks exotic. That kind of thing.
Collymore Posted 1 July 2010 Posted 1 July 2010 I'm excited. Yes, Frank Burrow's had duel nationality - Half Scottish and half Bosnian
Alexikokopops Posted 1 July 2010 Posted 1 July 2010 The only non-British manager we've had is Frank O'Farrell. Here's a list
Jordan Posted 1 July 2010 Posted 1 July 2010 Yeah, but it makes us look cool. Sousa played for Juventus. JUVENTUS!
davieG Posted 1 July 2010 Posted 1 July 2010 Yeah, but it makes us look cool. Sousa played for Juventus. JUVENTUS! Frank McLintock Captained Arsenal to an FA Cup & League Double and was Footballer of the Year but was still a shit Manager, arguably the worst in our history.

I have a feeling Jordan wasn't being all that serious.
davieG Posted 1 July 2010 Posted 1 July 2010 I have a feeling Jordan wasn't being all that serious. I did think that but it still had to be said being a 'great' footballer is no guarantee to being a great manager, seems not everyone thinks that, after all someone was keen on Shearer managing us.

True. Just like crap footballers aren't necessarily going to become bad managers (Jose Mourinho is a prime example)
