Scow Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 Maybe this......? Walker Canero / Keown / Dabizas / Makin Scowcroft / Gudjonsson / Williams / Tiatto Connolly / Benjamin ------------------------------------------------- Makin and Tiatto would provide some compusure down that left side, which has been lacking. Hopefully Canero is fit, and I think he and Scowcroft could be a good combination down the right. We need a ball winner in midfield - Gudjonnson needs to start. Him and Williams could prove to be a useful partnership as the latter likes to drive forward and get in to the box. Benjamin for Blake - A bit obvious really, Blake has been utter wank.
Scow Posted 15 August 2004 Author Posted 15 August 2004 I'm including Makin as I feel the red card will be rescinded.
Guest Guest Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 I think adams will play: ---------------------Walker Makin--------Dabizas----Heath---------Tiatto Scowcroft---Williams------Gujohnson----Wilcox --------------Connolly-------Blake subs benjamin nalis gillespie keown pressman
Benji Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 WalkerCanero / Keown / Dabizas / Makin Scowcroft / Gudjonsson / Williams / Tiatto Connolly / Benjamin as good as that sounds i reckon he'll stick with makin back right and stewart/wilcox left back <_< infact i worry incase he doesnt play tiatto
Micky Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 I think adams will play: ---------------------Walker Makin--------Dabizas----Heath---------Tiatto Scowcroft---Williams------Gujohnson----Wilcox --------------Connolly-------Blake subs benjamin nalis gillespie keown pressman that was me by the way!
Rachel - WCF Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 isn't makin suspended now with his sending off?

Guest freund Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 i agree with scowy but i'd rather have nalis and gudjohnsen rather than williams, but hopefully he wont play blake
Teeno Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 ----------------Walker------------- -Canero--Dabizas--Heath--Tiatto Scowcroft--Nalis--Gudjohnsson-Stewart -----------Connolly--Benjamin-----------
Rachel - WCF Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 ----------------Walker--------------Canero--Dabizas--Heath--Tiatto Scowcroft--Nalis--Gudjohnsson-Stewart -----------Connolly--Benjamin----------- 11932 that would be my team too Teeno got to keep lovely Nalis in the side
davieG Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 i agree with scowy but i'd rather have nalis and gudjohnsen rather than williams, but hopefully he wont play blake 11931 Interesting thought Freund, Teeno and worcestercityfan. I was just wondering why almost everyone selects Williams over Nalis, Has he shown himself to be better, is he getting better marks from people, if so why?. On current form and involvement Nalis seems to be in pole position, but then some people just think he's rubbish. They both deserve a chance to prove their worth to the team but Nalis deserves it more so far!
Teeno Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 Nalis will be awsome for us this season, and in the West Ham and Derby game he was without a doubt one of the better players in both games.
Louise Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 My team would be: Walker Canero (hopefully fit) Heath (if still unfit, Keown) Dabizas Tiatto Scowcroft Nalis Gudjonsson Stewart Connolly Benjamin Subs: Pressman, Wright, Keown (if Heath is still out, Stearman), Williams, Gillespie
Guest freund Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 well i think nalis is a better player, and i think he could get over 10 goals for us this season.. as for williams, apparently he was the forest man of the season last season (correct me if i'm wrong) and so far i haven't seen him play well...

With both Nalis and Williams in the team, we look very soft, and that was exploited cruely by Millwall yesterday. I think having someone like Gudjonnson will bring out the best in Williams' talent. He's looked dangerous going forward when he's had the opportunity, and would have a bit more license to do so with someone like Gudjonnson holding in that anchor role. The Williams/Nalis combination reminds me of England's midfield in Euro 2004, where the most talented players were chosen (Gerrard/Lampard) as opposed to a combination that would work more effectively - Butt with either Gerrard or Lampard.
Guest freund Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 to be fair, williams played well pre season didn't he?
Mark Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 We need a ball winner as well as creativity in midfield, so surely we must give Gudjonsson and Williams a go together?? I'd pick this team. Walker Canero / Heath / Dabizas / Tiatto Gillespie / Gudjonsson / Williams / Stewart Connolly / Wright Subs: Pressman, Benjamin, Keown, Nalis, Stearman

Guest freund Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 what about playing scowy upfront instead of blake/benji/wright, afterall he is meant to be a striker

Agree Gudjonnson should be given a run but I don't assume it should be with Williams.
Mark Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 You what, Blake is not better than Wright on current form, and if we aint starting Benjamin than its got to be Wright. We cant just pick Blake for the sake of it he's a joke. Its not a suicidal team, its a different team - you dont get on with different things do you? Changes dont mix too well with you,
Mad Dog Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 WalkerCanero / Heath / Dabizas / Tiatto Gillespie / Gudjonsson / Williams / Stewart Connolly / Wright Subs: Pressman, Benjamin, Keown, Nalis, Stearman 11955 Ridiculous. Dropping Nalis but keeping Williams in? Dropping Scowcroft and not even having him on the bench? Starting Wright up front? Having Keown and Stearman on the bench? Walker Canero, Heath, Dabizas, Tiatto Scowcroft, Gudjonsson, Nalis, Stewart Connolly, Blake Pressman, Keown, Williams, Gillespie, Benjamin
Guest freund Posted 15 August 2004 Posted 15 August 2004 i would mix it up a bit and go Walker Canero, Heath, Dabizas, Tiatto Gillespie, Gudjonsen, Nalis, Stewart Scowcroft, Connolly
