Stuliasz Posted 30 May 2005 Posted 30 May 2005 I know its pretty irrelevant before all the signings, but will be interesting to compare with the end of the summer. Heres mine: 1 - Ipswich 2 - Wolves 3 - Norwich 4 - Crystal Palace 5 - Sheff Utd 6 - Derby
Muz Posted 30 May 2005 Posted 30 May 2005 1. Wolves 2. Norwich 3.Leeds 4 .Sheff Utd 5. Preston 6. Palace
Mark Posted 30 May 2005 Posted 30 May 2005 I don't think Derby will repeat this season's success again.. if i was quite honest i can see a bottom 6 finish for them , also Ipswich will do well to get 6th if Bent and Miller leave. 1 - Norwich 2 - Crystal Palace 3 - Preston 4 - Wolves 5 - Sheff Utd 6 - Ipswich

Random Burglar Posted 30 May 2005 Posted 30 May 2005 Loving the enthusiasm for Leicester there people!!
Scow Posted 30 May 2005 Posted 30 May 2005 1. Wolves2. Crystal Palace 3. Norwich 4. Ipswich 5. Leicester 6. Watford 117585[/snapback] That's fairly interesting. What makes you feel that Watford have what it takes to make the play-offs? - Especially with an untested manager like Boothroyd in charge. For what it's worth, which will probably be wrong... 1. Norwich 2. Palace 3. Ipswich 4. Wolves 5. Preston 6. Leicester (remaining optimistic)

I think Boothroyd sounds like an interesting manager and should improve their side in the same way that Levein should for us. He appears to be a very modern and forward-thinking coach. I'm not sure about Southampton. I can see them either walking promotion or finishing mid-table in the same way that us, Leeds and Wolves all did this season. I'm utterly convinced that Wolves will win this section next year. I will be having a massive bet on them. Hoddle has made them hard to beat, Ricketts arriving, Seol's first full season, Lescott at full fitness, Ganea back from injury will be top scorer in the whole division no problem. They will be top 6, no doubt about it, and I think they will have the quality to win the league.

Ric Flair Posted 31 May 2005 Posted 31 May 2005 1. Southampton 2. Norwich 3. Wolves 4. Sheff Utd 5. Palace 6. Leicester Shit it's going to be hard, i've not even included Leeds, Ipswich or Derby and there is always a few surprises each season. I'll be over the moon if we get 6th and be one of the first teams to play at the new Wembley! What a day out that would be.

EmLeee Posted 31 May 2005 Posted 31 May 2005 1. leicester -I'm dreaming 2. Southampton 3. Ipswich 4. Wolves 5. Crystal Palace 6. Norwich maybe?

Tomassi Posted 31 May 2005 Posted 31 May 2005 1. Norwich - They planned this season even before they started life in the prem. 2. Wolves - Best Manager in the division, some quality players 3. Luton - Surprise package of the division with a manager with the right mentality 4. Ipswich - wont be as strong as this season, but will be up there. 5. Sheffield United - this could be there season, if not then Warnocks going 6. Burnley - Cotterills buying some good signings, could be enough for playoffs Sheffield United to win Playoffs I dont rate our chances next season.. i think it will be a season where our new-look team will gel and mount a serious challange for 06/07 season where i believe it will finally go together and we can stay in the premier. if we go up this season i think we would go straight back down.
BartonFox Posted 31 May 2005 Posted 31 May 2005 1 - Wolves 2 - Norwich 3 - Ipswich 4 - Hull 5 - Palace 6 - Luton We'll be between 7th and 10th
toonboy Posted 31 May 2005 Posted 31 May 2005 1- Norwich 2- Ipswich 3- Wolves 4- Leeds 5- Palace 6- Sheff Utd
Hazza Posted 31 May 2005 Posted 31 May 2005 1- Norwich 2- Wolves 3- Southampton 4- Sheff Utd 5- Leicester 6- Ipswich Depends on comings and goings of course but Norwich are under no pressure to sell and could cope without Green. Wolves under Hoddle were difficult to beat at least, few too many draws but got some creditable wins towards the end of the season. I don't like Redknapp but if he stays in charge then Southampton will be there or thereabouts. Sheff Utd are always on the fringes and the signings of Webber and Ifil will help a lot. I think we can follow in Preston's footsteps, 15th to 5th. Ipswich will struggle to replace the likes of Davis, Miller and Bent but Royle's a decent manager and they'll scrape it. I think Dowie could well leave Palace at some stage, along with Johnson so they'll just miss out. Derby and Preston will be up there too, but top 10 finishes and no better i reckon.
TrickyTrev Posted 31 May 2005 Posted 31 May 2005 Norwich Wolves Ipswich I think the top 3 will definately make the play offs and will porbably contest the automatic promotion places. Leicester Palace Hull They are the three sides that at the moment I would tip for the play offs but there will be other contenders who If I am honest are probably just as likely to get into them. Southampton Preston Reading Sheffied Utd Leeds Then any of the other teans excpet Cardiff, Crewe and Brighton have an outside chance of having a brilliant season. Or 'doing a Derby.' Very tough season ahead.
Nashy Posted 31 May 2005 Posted 31 May 2005 True to sheff fox's word, I've made it here to describe why you should save your money fez! Admittedly my pesimism (realism in my own eyes) serves mainly to dampen my own expectations and prepare for another puzzling failure in 11 months, but it does double up as a reasonble prediciton. It will remain to be seen who Hoddle brings in, but they must buy a ball winning midfielder. wolves have far too many flimsy showboaters in the midfield, which is why I was reluctant to be delighted at Rickett's signing. This added to ince's ageing process, cooper's release, and andrew's sale makes for bad news in a division with 46 game of the highest physical nature. Olofinjana Seol and ricketts in the same midfield appears great but is bad news in that league. Secondly, the defence appears stable but that could very easily be changed. An injury to Lescott with our current squad, then craddock going back to his old self, I'd be more concerned with staying in division 1 than getting out of it. This time last year all the talk was of how strong wolves are & how they will only get stronger with the money from a premiership season. they started at 5/1 but ruled themselves out of the playoffs before you threw your christmas tree out. I think a few people lost money on them last year without even coming close to re-gaining it. Anyone has good reason to think wolves could do well, but beware if you're putting well-earned cash on them. Mine will go on norwich I think.
