lush Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 Should be a good game, lots of talented players on view, and even milan will field some Sure we will learn something from them, and indeed from the celtic game. If we do ourselves justice and perform well, it would boost us for the coming season. What do you think?
BartonFox Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 Has our illustrious Club announced the fixture yet?
BartonFox Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 Inter Milan have said they are playing us, but I haven't seen or I have missed out lot confirming it.
Matt Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 LCFC staff were informed last week. 128457 Again the fans are last to know obviously staff are right to know first or before the fans but does it really take a week to announce such things?!
Hitesh Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 Can someone please explain to me the use of the official site? its riduclous that they havent even given the fans an update! Nothing new i suppose but its getting frustrating.
lush Posted 27 June 2005 Author Posted 27 June 2005 I agree, the official site could just make a brief announcement that a game against inter milan has been penned in for monday july 25th, with confirmation and ticket details to be confirmed and arranged asap. simple. Its suppossed to be a friendly, so act friendly, and put the prices down too!!
Hitesh Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 Exactly! It would make the fans much happier. The simple stuff always works!
Hutber's Law Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 Tickets will be £10 for adults. bargain 128495 Cheers, Mad Dog. I'm definitely going. Can't wait. B)
lush Posted 27 June 2005 Author Posted 27 June 2005 Tickets will be £10 for adults. bargain 128495 How do you know that?
Bluefoxtim Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 I would be suprised, seeing as CELTIC tickets are £15 for season ticket holders. Im sure they dont need to lower prices to get people in, as they would want to anyway seeing as it is Inter milan
Mad Dog Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 http://www.talkingballs.co.uk/showthread.php?t=6417 he doesn't get things wrong often

On the other hand you're not going to get to many Italians or neutrals turning up for Inter, this means they've got to draw in more LCFC fans.
Thracian Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 LCFC staff were informed last week. 128457 Again the fans are last to know obviously staff are right to know first or before the fans but does it really take a week to announce such things?! 128458 City are forever dropping clangers or missing out in the PR stakes. They are in the entertainment business and should be seeking every opportunity to get their name into print (preferably for the right reasons whatever time of the year it is. Of course they should have kept fans informed about the inter Milan game and, what with the Mancini connection etc there was plenty for the hacks to get at and be given especially at what is a quiet time of the year. Far too often I read the national newspapers and find no mention of City. Levein might be an understated type of manager but City can't afford to be. They need to lift their profile and keep lifting it. If there's nothing to say, the PR people need to make something happen or ferret around for something that is worth printing. As a non-League football manager, years ago, I remember almost daily contact with regional and local newspaper journalists who would ask "Got any stories" and I tried to ensure that, good or bad news, the reply was always the same: "How many do you want?"
lush Posted 27 June 2005 Author Posted 27 June 2005 I think your about spot on there davieg. I wouldnt be too suprised if all milan tickets are a tenner. remember the last pre-season games debacle...
lush Posted 27 June 2005 Author Posted 27 June 2005 You make much sense there thracian, strange name. as i was reading your post, i imagined a one inch square report in all the newspapers, that city were playing celtic and inter milan. can you imagine what a player thinking of moving here might think on reading that. might inspire him to sign, and thats what you were advocating, putting city in a good light. Ive always thought that fans should run their club.
Knightonian Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 Hopefully this will be going ahead. I have a couple of Milanese friends who are Inter fans. I've been looking for an excuse to dragg them down to the Walkers, and so this would be perfect.
TAFKA Castroneves Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 This would be a great 18th Birthday present for me if it happened. *crosses fingers*
