I personally think rodgers is the best manager for this club and we’re in such better shape as a whole since his arrival but can’t believe his comments about set pieces not being a problem until now, he does come out with some utter bullshit at times! It’s really hard to 100% believe in him when he doesn’t own his shit

Most of the league kept writing us off when we achieved the impossible, let’s not fall into the same trap! We of all fans should never be high and mighty, respect where it’s due there a really good team that look capable of beating anyone. Wish we were as hard to play against!

West Ham remind me a bit of us the year we won the league, no fear and extremely well organised with real quality in certain areas

It’s always been an issue in his time here, not just goals conceded but the amount of free headers and chances the opposition get when the ball goes in our box is frightening, we’re such a talented team imagine how good we could be if we could confidently defend our lines

100% agreed we don’t have anyone bar evans who can powerfully attack the ball through a congested penalty area and even he gets beat regularly, Soyuncu just seems to get stuck under the ball far too often and there’s no one else in the team who will put there head through a brick wall to clear, it’s been going on for too long now to just fix overnight and I think it’s a mindset with our players, fight or flight type of thing that not all players have that aggressive win at all cost mentality

So so poor at defending set pieces, literally looks like men against boys every time the ball gets put in our box, shit myself every time the opposition get a corner, no one seems to know what there doing! Used to love the Elliott taggart Walsh days of the mid 90s, at least they used to attack the ball! It wasn’t that long ago Morgan and huth along with Fuchs and Simpson were outstanding at defending the box, just seems like the whole squad isn’t mentally strong enough when the shit hits the fan, shame really because if we could sort these issues we’d be one hell of a team, don’t expect to win every week but it’s the same shite every time.

I’m starting to think this season is going to disappoint big time, win a game or two then have a couple of really poor performances and so on then ultimately end up mid table. Seems to be the same problems for a while now and nothing is changing, hope I’m proved wrong but sick of feeling so frustrated most weeks especially after letting champions league slip away 2 seasons on the trot which was heartbreaking.
