Well that’s bloody annoying. I’ve got a load of unused lateral flow tests that I bought before they changed the rules for needing a PCR test. But they’re at home, I’m already in Italy Now I have to find out how to get a pre-departure test done over here

I arrived in Rime yesterday, no compulsory outdoor mask wearing at the moment. They were very lax about checking my all of the documentation at the airport when I arrived. Nobody looked at the Covid test certificate! They just stamped my passport and let me through. Very different to Warsaw, they spent ages interrogating me and going through my documents at passport control

Waste of paper, waste of postage. Especially as it sounds like, from an earlier post, they’re not planning on getting them to us until Tuesday possibly. Which will be too late for anyone travelling before Wednesday, making it pretty pointless. I’m sure this ticket collection from a hotel thing is done purely so a load of LCFC staff get a free holiday abroad in a posh hotel 😄 speaking of which, when are they going to let us know where that will be? It might affect where I decide to stay

The fit to fly lateral flow test can be done yourself at home, you submit the result online, then you’re issued with a fit to fly certificate by the private test provider. I was only questioning your earlier assertion that a lateral low test wasn’t sufficient. You’re right, a free NHS lateral flow test isn’t, but a test at home from a private provider is.

Me too. That should be fine, I’m sure.

An antigen test is a lateral flow test, there’s no specification that it has to be done in a test centre? It had better be ok, as that’s what I have!

Mine arrived this morning

These are all a bit obscure, I hardly recognise any of them

Wonder when they’ll post out the vouchers. I leave for Italy at the end of the week, I’d still be able to collect my ticket without a voucher, won’t I?

That rule about having to isolate until the negative PCR test result is annoying. How long for a PCR test result to come back? Flying back Friday. I want to go to the Newcastle game on Sunday, and I’m travelling with someone who has an important appointment on the Monday so can’t isolate that long waiting for the negative test result.

Just bought a load of lateral flow tests for this and a future trip. Now have to fork out for PCR tests 😕 understandable, but annoying. If all of this testing is mandatory, they should just let us use the free testing

Also, besides not being able to checkout the ticket, in a section like this, where only alternate seats are available (I assume for COVID social distancing reasons), you can’t select a single seat to purchase, as it will leave a single seat behind 🤪 so basically that whole section is unavailable unless you’re buying an even number of tickets

Ha, they really don’t want anyone to go to this match, do they? 😆

Yes, me too!

It’s ridiculous in this day and age that you can’t make your own way to a football match without fear of being attacked. These “ultras” should really grow up. If one day on holiday, I decided I wanted to take in a Napoli match, not necessarily as an away fan, then I would risk being attacked for not looking Italian if I made my own way to the stadium? if there is a no belts rule, let’s hope for no wardrobe malfunctions!

Agree re. Some of the people, I’m glad to be home now. My experience has been soured by the last part of the trip. I took a taxi from the station to the airport yesterday as I had 50-60 zloty left to spend, and the fare is around 40, so around £7-£8. When we arrived at the airport, I handed over the 50, was about to tell the driver to keep the change if there was any. He pointed at the meter, it said 471 zloty, which is around £88!! He said it was a private taxi (it wasn’t, I’d made sure to get one with official pricing on the window), and that it was a special price because there was a lot of traffic. I refused to pay this - I couldn’t anyway as I didn’t have that kind of cash. Then he said he wanted £20 off me. Told him I didn’t have that either. He proceeded to lock me in and stood outside blocking the door, saying he’d take me back to the station if I didn’t pay. He told me I had to go to the ATM in the airport. I gave in as I was late for my flight and I wanted to get away from him. So he marched me into the terminal. He settled on another 50 zloty, I handed over 60 as I could only get multiples of 20. I’m so so angry about this. I was taken advantage of, and feel somewhat violated, particularly as a lone woman in his car. I was basically robbed in broad daylight. If I hadn’t been panicking about getting the flight, I would’ve stood my ground some more and maybe threatened him with the police, and got his details. But I just wanted to get rid of him, and get away. I almost missed check in as a result of this mess That’s another story of miserable locals- I was literally one minute late for the scheduled check in, and the plane was delayed by 90 minutes. I had to beg them to let me check in, I was reprimanded and told I must do better, but luckily they let me on!

No wonder they had boxes full if they weren’t giving any out to anyone who arrived before midday 😆
-
Me neither, I was there around 11:30

I didn’t get a scarf

That Cornet incident was the worst and most blatant. He was well off the pitch, holding his hamstring. Immediately you could see the Burnley players frantically waving at him to get back on the pitch and then go down

I got my lateral flow from here: https://qured.com and the Day 2 PCR from here https://www.testingforall.org LFT arrived within a day

It’d be nice if they could confirm to us, the fans, that there will definitely be tickets on sale. What with the tight schedule for the visa application, it’ll be only staff in the away end at this rate!

I’m assuming that’s why we can’t get anything at the front end of the upper tiers, all pre-reserved by the club 🙄
