  1. Having lived abroad for much of my adult life I can assure there is nobody worse for this than the English.
  2. Surprised at a lot of the 'Argentina vs the World' type memes doing the rounds. Just from casual observation of both friends and randomers on social media I'd say they're pretty popular and obviously their star man is worshipped by great swathes of the earth's population.
  3. Can't stand this schmaltzy montageism that follows England in every tournament. It's like we want to lose so we can wallow in self pity, soundtracked by sensitive indie schmindie.
  4. Nostalgia maybe but 1996 was the only one where I feel we were really unlucky.
  5. I like how you often succinctly and dispassionately sum up the situation while the rest of us are shouting into the void.
  6. I don't really understand why this continues to happen. Is it all the emotion, the over sentimentality and exagerrated suffering, the slightly performative hope that "it's coming home"? Just go out there and get it like other national teams do. Loser mentality.
  7. Looks like Bellingham has learned some Spanish
  8. I think sometimes the English forget it's not just a case of waiting til it's "our year", you have to go out and win the ****ing thing.
  9. Great mentality these Argies to be fair. Pull it out the bag.
  10. I don't think logging in to foxestalk is going to help them right now
  11. every ****ing time with this ****ing national team
  12. psychologically preparing myself for the seemingly inevitable....
  13. What happens if there's only 4 players left on the pitch?
  14. Hydration break can't come soon enough
  15. out of interest who would you cheer for, Argentina vs Scotland in the semi final of the world cup?
  16. With all due respect I can't understand how this is surprising to anyone who is truly into football and you only have to look at some of the threads on here last season. After all what was the result we cheered the most over the last 12 months? I think what you're trying to say in a subtle way is that Scotland can cheer against England but not in this case for Argentina because of the history and politics. But if you bring history and politics into it then of course the Scots are entitled to point out they have more issues there with their neighbours than with a South American country thousands of miles away.
