  1. Would love Fuchs to keep them up not only because of his time with us but also he seems like a very intelligent guy who wasn't afraid to take on a huge challenge.
  2. Man City have lost to minnows at Wembley of course - Palace last year and Man United the year before
  3. Saufampton in ya ropah
  4. Gave Mossad the explosives that they planted in the towers
  5. Maybe I just haven't got over Peter Taylor and leaving school
  6. I shouldn't have used "living standards". Quality of life? Which is not only economic. The surveillance state, terrorism, immigration from the ME, exposure to extreme content online. Obviously 9/11 didn't totally start those things alone but as I said it feels to me like the inflection point for when everything started to get shitter.
  7. Austerity isn't the main cause of the 21st century malaise in the west which of course is not only the UK. Neither is 9/11 the main cause but it does feel to me ow more than ever like the precise moment the messiness of the world came crashing into comfortable gated community that the west had built post war, which we are now realizing we can't rebuild.
  8. Obviously 30 something's not being able to afford to buy a house in Britain is not Osama bin Laden's fault but 9/11 feels more and more like the inflection point, the moment when living standards for your average working person in the west started to slowly decay. I regularly think about this in my more existential moments such as on wistful spring evenings as this one.
  9. When and why did the word "performative" start to be used so much in Britain for seemingly any behavior the user dislikes? It's like people in this country really struggle to accept others may genuinely act in a different way or believe different things.

  11. Depends where you are. Big difference between the south east and north west
  12. Gave up and looked up the answer. No idea for blues and purples.
  13. Nor Genoa. Or Bulgaria. Not even Georgia! Incredibly ungrateful man.
  14. Happy St George's day foxestalker slay queens!
  15. But then realising you've lost the ticket somewhere
  16. "We were single celled eukaryotic organisms once!"
  17. Would help if people were less culture war-y about it, like the coffee flasks stuff. But then again the pro KP crowd seem pretty far gone so not sure it'd make much of a difference. It's not that dissimilar to a lot of the divides that exist in wider society particularly as it's exacerbated by social media.
  18. Really elite football like the Champions League is at least extremely good quality and very entertaining. Here it's awful because the quality is crap but you still have all the bullshit associated with the top few levels of English football.
  19. I think it's also partially because of the narrative created by the media around the title win and reinforced by KP that we were a little no mark team that miraculously won the league. A lot of our fans seem to have forgotten we were pretty successful not that many years before. I kind of understand it to be honest, it was such a fairytale, but we were never a small club.
  20. Like a lot of others it doesn't really feel like the same club I started supporting for a lot of quite intangible reasons I can't articulate. I feel a total disconnect to the club including towards vast swathes of our fan base. I wonder if that disconnect is a combination of fatigue from the last 12 years of ups and downs, sadness at our pathetic plight, but also a more general dissatisfaction with football which is rapidly becoming a much less enjoyable pass time. Maybe, and perhaps I'm being too deep here in my depressed and slightly hungover state, a dissatisfaction with elements of society as a whole of which football, especially our club, is a representation. I do sense this in a lot of posts I see here. It's not just King Power.
  21. Good player. Almost forgotten what they look like
  22. I've always thought of Leicestershirians as the most English of everyone in England, maybe because they're right in the middle but also because they have that "mustn't grumble" mentality and comfort in being mediocre that exists in the country as a whole but seems to be taken to a whole other level by much of our fan base.
  23. Not exactly 'no context'
