You can get amour that has a serious amount of defence. By wearing clothing and drinking potions that improve smithing and enchanting, it will really bump up the bonus points offered.

Its not lag, its a slowing frame rate. Don't know what you can do if you can't install it then. Theres a patch which is being released on 1st December btw.

Can't be lag because your not online. Maybe the framerate is slowing down though. Try installing it to the HD if you already haven't.

Managed to squeeze in four hours playtime since Monday. I am now putting college work first

Gutted that I have to go college for hours, come home, eat then go to work for hours. I JUST WANT TO PLAY SOME SKYRIM!!!

You need level 100 smithing. To smith, go to Whiterun (or any other smithing place, but this is easiest). Fast travel there. Once there, look right, you should see a woman standing out. What I did was buy iron ingots, leather and leather stripes, then make iron daggers, and with the remaining few, make leather cowls (or helmets), can't remember what it was. Once done, sell them back to her, and go inside the smithing shop and buy all the same things from the guy in there. Come outside and make more daggers/cowls. Sell them. Then wait 48 hours so the shop restocks. You can also buy iron ores and make them into ingots using the smelter which is next to the workbench. It cost me about 3k coins, but I got there in the end with 100 smithing. After that you need dragon scale and dragon bones to make dragon armour. Its easy once you get started. I'm having trouble understanding enchanting and alchemy at the moment. Theres also a infinite gold glitch and a speech glitch for anyone that is interested, just youtube them, they'll be patched soon though I reckon. As for me now, I might try to start getting my archery and sneak up. Might start robbing shops for the thieves guild. Its an amazing game.

Just home from college and work, time to play some Skyrim. Currently level 29, 100 speech and smithing. Might try some alchemy. Oh and to anyone getting killed pretty easily, make your own amour by smithing. Just made myself some dragon amour (I'm level 100 smithing), and the defence on the stuff is unreal.

I think the graphics are brilliant, try standing at the top of a waterfall. Ah, which reminds me, use the waterfalls and streams to your advantage, the current takes you down the stream a lot faster than you can run. Played seven hours so far, keep dying and having to go back 15-30mins though, why did I turn off autosave? Haha.

Oblivion was amazing, put 80+ hours into that game. But this seems even better, 3 hours played so far. The graphics are stunning (only in HD)
