  1. Surely there is a clever way you could do this from an account perspective. You are close enough to July that you pay his wages up to the end of the month then the severance package is in the new financial year.
  2. This can’t be true, didn’t they also in this paper say we’d get -12 points or something. if it is true, back him, get an experienced assistant with him and crack on. But that shouldn’t be the case.
  3. Wanting Carrick, Wanting Martin, Wanting RVN to stay, Wanting Dyche(less so as I think some do want him) is just people not liking being kept in the dark, like the uncertainty is worse than actually getting the decision wrong.
  4. 3rd was when he was appointed at Chelsea I think. It around then.
  5. I agree the sustainable model is how we thrived, and I wouldn't chose SD. One thing that worries me slightly is "modern, tactically-intelligent manager", as not that could be anything. People in the game like Pep would say Russell Martin is that. NP wouldn't have been described as that even. I think what we need is a flexible manager, that can work with what he's got but also help build the whole club again, work with the youth players too. I don't think we are going to have changes at board level, so we need a strong manager tha can bring in good people to support that culture change.
  6. I think this may be the case too, well at least I hope it would be. Ruuds words are aways something like "it has to be what right for the football club" which makes me think he knows they have to wait. Though sometime people do strange things for what they think is the right reason.
  7. I think this is some of the issue with PSR and how the punishment is dealt with, there are grey areas where the club are seen to be trying to make a difference. From an accounting perspective if it happens in the same period surely it reduces the final loses?
  8. Friday
  9. His wording was interesting I think. Can’t remember the exact wording but it didn’t 100% confirm it. I think talkSPORT word fed info from someone close to Martin to push rangers,
  10. I know this was a joke but this would be a great appointment.
  11. At least we aren’t the only club that faffs about the championship season finished a month ago.
  12. Was just a name that I heard on the Dyche pod. Also I think I read he wants a Dof role.
  13. Sometimes there is a random one with us. Like claudio. could Southgate be possible? Not my choice but just a coach out of work.
  14. I kind of made that point too in my original post, the player recruitment is what made NP great(not just down to him), It was about "fit" and "attitude" but also they found some gems in terms of ability.
  15. Like I say that is completely subjective, to some extent I agree you need the right people, but also you need ability. There is a difference between someone being a bit of a "jack the lad" and someone who won't work and graft
  16. The only part of the interview that made me think Dyche was vaguely like Nigel, was the bit about buying the right character of player, with the right attitudes. It's something that NP used to talk about a lot, though also I guess that is subjective. Enzo's idea of the right attitude and Dyche's idea could be completely different. The other thing that got me thinking after listening to the podcast, was with NP did we have a set philosophy as such? I think we mixed it up but it was around determination and hard word, that as well as great recruitment.
  17. I think he'll be ok to have around in the squad next season, far bigger issue than him.
  18. Jut listening to Dyche on the Rest is football, bit I don't agree but, I can see us appointing him based on the fact I think he likes a club where it feels like there are things against him.
  19. We didn’t fall from quite as consistently high as it feels like we have this time.
  20. I feel a bit like that too. Though I don't know if its just that I feel a bit like that about football in general at the minute.
  21. Is that what Chelsea effectively did with Potter?
  22. What I don't understand if thats the case why don't they make a statement saying that? unless they are trying to get an experienced assistant in with him.
  23. I know he's worked at some massive succesful cubs with his dad, but does he have credentials to be a manager?
  24. Hope you are right like its looks like you have been with RM.
  25. Hmmm, not the best Idea, As we said "he can't be worse than Cooper". I mean they were both pants but it did seem to get worse.
