  1. ✨positivity corner ✨ We're going to boss the second half, score a couple of goals, get some confidence back and finally kickstart our season. Up the Citeh,
  2. Any Greek (or posh) foxes that can translate the message on the banner behind Kasper's goal?
  3. Had it on in the background after their third, turned it off entirely as their fourth was going in. Went for a long walk and am now merely angry
  4. Thanks for sorting us out, @Johnnybloke, and for keeping us all entertained at half time. Much appreciated. Top bloke. 👍🏻
  5. I have a radio. BBC Radio Leicester reception is a bit spotty here on the west coast of Canada, mind. Any internet radio stream links would be much appreciated.
  6. Somehow it's even worse than the last round, we won't even have audio commentary? Please tell me the Iranian gym lads are still around, at the very least
  7. Plays a strong 11: "Ridiculous. Need to give our depth players a run. Crazy to play our first team this early in a tinpot cup" Plays a weaker 11: "Ridiculous. I'm sick of not taking cups seriously. We have a good chance of winning this illustrious and respected competition"
  8. People laugh at me for not being prepared for the zombie apocalypse. Mate, I'm listening to live commentary of a football match happening on the other side of the planet and I'm LOSING MY MIND that there's no footage. A zombie apocalypse is about 100 items down on the list of things I would happily choose not to survive. Summing up, this is terrible and life is meaningless
  9. Perhaps the real stream is the Iranian gym friends we made along the way
  10. Aaargh I just got home from watching the match to see this in my notifications. Sorry mate. How long are you in town? In general it can be hard to watch football here because a 3pm kickoff in the UK is usually 7am here. Later kickoffs are easy to find; many pubs open at 11am and (this season at least) the games are broadcast on channels included on all basic cable packages. Hopefully you found somewhere to see the game.
  11. I hear you mate. It's just gone 1am here. Today has stretched on forever and sleep is not on the cards for a while yet.
  12. There are no words that can do this justice, really. The Srivaddhanaprabha family has touched all of our lives, and given us, and the club, more than we can ever repay. I've read every post to this thread, as I'm sure hundreds of others have. It's incredible to see such an outpouring of emotion. We're so fortunate to have owners that are beloved, which certainly isn't the case for most clubs. They are truly one of a kind. When the time comes, assuming the worst, we'll show Top and the rest of his family that we're all grieving with him, and that he's far from alone in this.
  13. Vancouver's great. I've been here 8 years now and it feels like home for me. Apart from the money factor it's an incredibly livable city - it's beautiful, safe, the people are friendly enough, and there's plenty to do, especially if you're the outdoors type. There's not a lot a lot of culture to speak of but we do have a mediocre MLS team. Like @Jattdogg says, it's very different to the UK in ways that you might not expect, so its best to have an open mind and just take it for what it is. I've seen plenty of people here struggle with their time abroad because it's not exactly like their home. If you're only thinking of staying a year, or you reckon you can wrangle sponsorship while you're here, and you're under 34 years old, your best is a working holiday visa. Take a look at International Experience Canada. It's very easy to get and will let you work anywhere in Canada with very few restrictions. Feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions.
  14. If we finish 8th I'll be pleased enough. If we finish 7th I'll be happy. If we finish 7th and snag a spot in the Europa League for next season I'll be over the moon. Still plenty to do over the summer no matter what happens.
