What does my head in is that they probably did say no to a reasonable-ish wage because they knew the club would bend over backwards to sign them up.
-
For me the only way to lead is by example. Charging about the pitch isn't a good indication of that. Vestergaard's performance at the weekend was a captain's one. Didn't lose his head all game and stayed laser focused for the full 90.
-
Faes will literally never be captain. I'd be amazed if he was. The headloss to a few ironic cheers proves that.
-
Again, I completely disagree. He's shown up all season and will undoubtedly win Championship POTY if we win the league.
-
Getting the ball out wide constantly and quickly was one of the primary reasons we won that game. Norwich's fullbacks couldn't deal with Mavididi or Fatawu and keeping them pinned in meant they couldn't get forward to provide width to their extremely narrow midfield. Whether that was because the crowd encouraged it or not is a different argument.
-
Totally disagree. It's a fantastic deal for them. I would say that if we weren't in financial difficulties we would be asking for more than double. (Morgan Gibbs White to Forest for reference). KDH at something between 20-30m is peanuts.
-
A player Brighton will sign for about £20m after a season of arguably being the best player in the Championship having already proven himself at Premier League level. It'll be a fantastic purchase for them/whoever gets him. The issue is when they start putting north of 80k a week on the likes of Evans, Bertrand and Vestergaard while also start giving massive contracts out to players that are being signed specifically to be squad players like Praet, Perez, Soumare, Daka, Castagne etc. as they're not an improvement to the starting 11.

I went with only Rudkin and Whelan but if Top can't see that then he's not fit for purpose either. This summer, regardless of what happens, we need a complete shake up of the way this club is run. It's time to stop pretending.
-
Like we did?

Whatever floats your boat mate!
-
A player like him is always worth having in your side. Norwich were shit scared of him so while he didn't necessarily create much or come close to scoring his direct running kept Norwich on the back foot and enabled us to keep them pinned in. I think he's a fantastic player. His end product can and will improve but it's still one of the league's best. Only KDH, Armstrong, Rutter, Davis and Sara have more assists than him and he's only just turned 20.
-
I don't think it's quite the same. The argument against us was that everyone else was shit and that's why we were lucky. This year you could put a good argument for us and Leeds to be two of the best ever Championship sides. Ipswich's perceived luck is down to individual moments consistently going their way.
-
I don't think he's offended anyone. I just think he needs to concentrate on doing the right things on the pitch. I think passing to players in space is one of those things he wasn't doing. I don't think getting revved up by some pretty light hearted ironic cheering isn't the right thing to do. I think he should be able to rise above that as a professional. As you say though he could show his bare arse to the fans if he wanted to so long as we won and I wouldn't care.
-
Don't really know why you've bothered making an account to argue with Leicester fans who are clearly just wound up that Ipswich won't back off. We've watched you score countless scrappy injury time winners. It's annoying as ****. I would suggest you're better off logging off and talking to fellow Ipswich fans about how good you've got it.
-
Shout out to Vestergaard by the way. Man marked arguably the best performing striker in the league totally out of the game. Thought his concentration was spot on when I sometimes see him go wandering. He was booked for arguably his only mistake in the game. Passing was brilliant and (I know this will sound mad to a neutral because he's built like a brick shit house and is about 6 foot 7 but he's often let down by his lack of spring when jumping) he won everything in the air. Really commanding performance when the world and his dog was calling for him to be dropped for Coady. Very impressed with his determination and I think it permeated through the squad.
-
I thought so too. He's in no position to argue with the fans like that. Fatawu was in acres of space all game. It was clear the ball needed to go out to the wings more. Be brave and make the difficult pass as opposed to the incessant passes back and forth with Winks, Ricardo and Vestergaard. First time he himself passes the ball to Fatawu, 10 seconds later we scored.

I don't run a checklist for all 32,000 seats mate.
-
"All rights reserved" is funny but surely there's no way he's getting banned for this. I know you think the club is out to get every single fan but come on.
-
Hull may as well have just picked the ball up and booted it in their own net. Completely gift wrapped it for Leeds. willy pullers.
-
Second half was such a good performance. Reckon it must have taken 25 minutes for Norwich to put two passes together in our half. We were relentless and great to watch
-
He looks completely different but I can't think why.
-
We really need Ricardo back but if it's better for him to make his comeback against Norwich then he shouldn't start tomorrow. We should be able to beat Bristol City without him.
-
Wish this club had the backbone needed to protect our players. Ndidi is coming back off a lengthy injury and is needed for a genuinely massive game on Friday. It's outrageous that we've let him play 90 minutes in a friendly on a different continent less than 60 hours before that game. What the **** is going on? Why has that been allowed to happen?
-
He's become a very important player for Leeds. Their fans love him. Good that Ampadu and James both played 120 minutes. Hopefully that penalty miss knocks the confidence out of James too!
-
I'm fairly sure the only time we've dropped points when Ricardo, Ndidi and Mavididi have started was with that double deflection against Ipswich at Portman Road and by that time Ndidi had picked up an injury and we had a blatant penalty turned down.
