McAteer is 22 and has only just broken into our squad after a fairly average loan spell in League 2. Players develop at different times and rates. It's very, very rare that teenagers break into Premier League/Championship squads.

Shame for Luke because I think there was a player there. No denying he's technically sound. He needed to go on loan well before now. He'll be 23 by the time he's a City player again. He should have been sent to play week in week out in a quality, attacking Championship side last season if not the year before. Feel his progress has stagnated, he's not got any real value and he's probably going to be sold for a cheap sum to some Championship mid-table plodders like Stoke.

Feel like KDH has performed in big games on Sky. Two goals Cov at home, great assist Southampton away, scored a gorgeous goal at Blackburn, G+A at WBA etc.

I adore Nige as much as the next but I think Sunderland are ready for the step up. Mowbray did the Nige role for them in terms of building a young, exciting squad. I think they need someone to come in and take them to that next level.

Feel like we do need to be careful with the team in the lead up to Ipswich. The team on boxing day has to be; Hermansen Faes Vestergaard Justin Ricardo Winks Fatawu Ndidi KDH Mavididi Iheanacho With that in mind I would take the opportunity to rest Mavididi, Iheanacho and at least one of the back 3. Ricardo gets a rest because of his suspension. For Plymouth i'd go; Hermansen Faes Coady Justin Hamza Winks Fatawu Ndidi KDH McAteer Vardy Definitely want to see Cannon come off the bench if the game is sewn up in good time. Wonder if Will Alves is anywhere near close? Be nice to see him come off the bench too.

It's more that he gets the ball on his box and releases it at the right time after sucking their defender in. The goal doesn't happen without very good play from Iheanacho.

More passes in the final 3rd? Absolutely IMO. But we need to be quicker in possession from the defence and the midfield. When we get a team pinned in we look bloody fabulous. But we don't get into those positions often enough.

Wednesday 7.45 followed by Saturday 12:45 is shite no matter how big your squad is. Especially when both games are away (granted not that far to travel but still). Every right to moan when Sky TV are ****ing you over IMO.

Terrible news if he's missing the game IMO. I don't think we have another centre back that can play his role on the right of the back 3. Coady looked lost there on Wednesday. It's clear to me that he and Vestergaard can only play centrally. I'd bring Souttar in I think if we are going to stick with the back 3 but personally would go with a back four and try attacking with Ricardo and Justin over lapping Fatawu and Mavididi. Would like to see him with Justin actually backing him up. I know Justin probably makes us more defensively sound but we aren't the same going forward without Doyle.

This is all from the lower tier so not the best view. Hermansen - 5 - Not really to blame for anything but a few ropey passes early on put us under pressure. Ricardo - 4 - Really, really off it last night. Felt like he needed 3/4 touches to get the ball under control and was seemingly caught out constantly. Coady - 3 - Feel for him because he doesn't get many chances but you can see why. Playing out wide in this 3 at the back system doesn't suit him to be fair. Vestergaard - 5 - Should have scored that free header at the end. Thought he was alright but nothing special. You know you're slow when Barry Bannan glides past you. Faes - 5 - Hope he's not injured. Looked very uncomfortable on the left of that back 3. Decent on the ball though. Winks - 7 - Standard. Thought there were spells when he looked the best player on the pitch but I don't think that's much of an accolade based on the whole game. Casadei - 3 - Really cannot afford to keep playing him. He looks completely lost and doesn't bring anything to the team. Akgun - 2 - Thought he was awful. Completely shied away from the game. Big shame because I thought he'd be really good as an 8. Fatawu - 6 - Took the goal well. Standard Fatawu game really where it looks like he could beat his winger whenever he wants but decides to turn in and play a simple pass to the right centre back. Hope that's not how he's being coached. Mavididi - 5 - I don't understand him. Similar to Fatawu really. Nice dinked cross for the goal. Second half did absolutely **** all. Should have been subbed. Vardy - 3 - Waste of time playing him in this set up. Bet he can't wait to retire. Not sure what Cannon has to do to get game time. Justin - 3 - Thought he was absolutely awful. Caught under the ball for the goal as well. KDH - 6 - Thought his energy was what the game needed. I'd have brought him on at half time. McAteer - 4 - Bless him. Tries but didn't get into positions that got him 1 vs 1 with the defender enough. Had a great opportunity to cross for a Vardy tap in and he smashed it about 10 yards over his head. Ndidi - 5 - Should be starting but I didn't think bringing him on was the right move. Desperate for a creative number 10 this January. Hamza - 4 - Really, really poor on the ball. Again I don't think he's a good sub. He's erratic and we needed to be calm.

The entire squad seems to have the same problem as Casadei. What is he actually good at? We're so desperate for quality 8s/10s in January.

Lets not act like we wouldn't feel the same if it was us. Man City and Chelsea have gotten away with this for years. Everton have complied with the Premier League and have ended up with a 10 point deduction yet Man City consistently refuse to cooperate and yet the Premier League hands over the Premier League trophy every single May. How can it be right? If Man City don't want to comply then I don't see what the issue is. They should be kicked out of the league.

I can see Vardy starting on Wednesday with Cannon off the bench for the last 25. Hopefully we have the game won enough to give him a real go without Enzo feeling the need to play it safe with Iheanacho.
