Leicester (p)0-0 Southampton Post Match Thread - 6-5 Win on Penalties
1969 replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
Me too! We had club record signing Roger Davies as top scorer with 4 goals for the season. Maybe we should set up a virtual reality suite at the KP and make everybody relive that nightmare of a season so there's a bit more perspective about our current position? -

Chillwell looking very comfortable at this level. -
I'm not sure how many players we will have on international duty this time round but its a shame that they haven't all got this time off. I absolutely agree that normally international breaks are really frustrating but this one couldn't have come at a better time.

There were a fair few Burnley fans near me on the walk yesterday and a lot of them laid down flowers at the memorial site. Credit to themselves and their club.

Saturday 10th November- Walk for Vichai

I know! Just shows the effect of having an attractive young lady with you (my daughter). Some of the poppy sellers outside the ground handed their complimentary tickets back apparently. -

Did the walk - got soaked - watched the prematch tributes on the big screen at the memorial site and then as we walked back past the KP got given 2 free tickets so got to see the game after all! What a day. Now heading back down the M1 for a well deserved Indian and MOTD. I am feeling incredibly proud of my club and our fans - well done everyone! -

I'm travelling up from darkest Essex for this with my eldest daughter (both ticket less unfortunately). We worked out last night that the last time we travelled to a match and it was just the 2 of us was the league Cup final against Tranmere. Makes me feel old! -
Players in someone’s ‘Team of the Week’ thread 2018-19

Leicester City: Alan Shearer only picks Foxes players in Team of the Week BBC MOTD pundit Alan Shearer says he would have included Chelsea Alvaro Morata among others but made an "exception" for the Leicester players Alan Shearer has named only Leicester City players in his Premier League Team of the Week. Shearer, 48, said the players deserved "huge credit" for playing days after the club's owner and four others died in a helicopter crash. "To play in such terrible circumstances and to then go on and get a win at Cardiff in tribute to Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, is worthy of my team of the week, " he wrote on Instagram. The Foxes beat Cardiff 1-0 on Saturday. Former Newcastle and England striker Shearer also said that the Foxes' "spirit" and "solidarity"- where Demarai Gray's goal sparked emotional celebrations - reminded him of their "fairytale" Premier League title win in 2015/16. Alan Shearer's Premier League Team of the Week: Kasper Schmeichel, Ricardo Pereira, Wes Morgan, Harry Maguire, Ben Chilwell, Marc Albrighton, Nampalys Mendy, James Maddison, Wilfred Ndidi, Demarai Gray and Jamie Vardy. -

10 for everyone except Kasper who gets an 11 for dealing with that after match interview with such dignity - what a man! 10 for Claude for managing the team to 3points on a day like this. And finally how can you score our fans out of 10 when they were absolutely magnificent! -
In tears again after that. What a club we belong to.
-
Thought we were the better team on the day. Made the best chances, had decent possession and coped with Maguires injury well. Add to that the broader context - what a win!
-
Deserved that win for so many reasons. Well done to our team our club and our supporters.
-
Well done lads!
-
Agreed. Kept the ball to take the sting out of the game then break and Vardy nearly scores.
-
Close from Vards
-
Evans should score there!
-
Can't believe commonsense can't apply there. I suppose it's the rule but don't book demairi there surely!
-
How many shite refereeing decisions are we going to have this season!
-
Agree and yet I've never thought the result matters less. Come on Leicester!

How are you feeling about the Cardiff match?
1969 replied to fox in the sox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Going to be really tough during the build up to kick off. Once the whistle goes hopefully it will allow a lot of emotion to be released both on and off the pitch. Whatever the result I expect our support to be magnificent before during and after. -
Claude Puel’s personal tribute to Vichai
1969 replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
Dignified and emotional - well done Claude. I think we will probably see Wes, Kasper and Vards all start on Saturday because of the relationship they had with Vichai and rightly so. For the first time in a while our supporters and our manager and our team will offer each other complete and unquestioning support. -
2018/19 Carabao Cup Quarter-final draw tonight 31/10/18
1969 replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Not again! Oh well at least they'll probably put out a reserve side. Trouble is it will be a much better reserve side than last time. Assuming we beat Southampton first of course.
