I think the remaining value is amortised over the new period. So if Winks had say £5M remaining over one (final) year but signed a 1 year contract extension it would become £5M over 2 years - so his remaining value in the final (2nd) year would be £2.5M?

First time in our history we will ever have had back to back relegations. King Power Out!!

Come the end of this season - if we are relegated - we will be in the same league position ( the third tier) as Sheff Weds and, once players leave on a free or end their loans or anyone half decent is sold to balance the books, will have a squad depth not dissimilar to Sheff Weds but the difference between how the Wednesday fans feel about Chansiri and the way most of ours still feel about King Power is incredible - even though we have fallen far further. The mismanagement of affairs on the pitch has put us in the relegation zone and the mismanagement off the pitch with the consequential 6 point deduction will relegate us and still the KP loyalists accept it. At what point is there nothing left to “be careful what you wish for”? King Power out!!!

Unless king power pay real cash for it then that won’t help cash flow? Also I’m not sure how the PSR rules work in League 1 but in the championship you can’t sell an asset to yourself to improve PSR like some clubs have done in the premier league.

Yea and the good news is that you will be able to secure a loan against the herb garden so that you don’t have to put any money in yourself to pay for the compost!

I’m not saying we will collapse - although I do think if we carry on being run the way we are then administration is likely - I’m just pointing out the facts of the financial position. The problem with the Macquarie loans is that they are evidence that king power either haven’t got cash to put into the club anymore or that they’ve decided not to invest anymore?

It might count as turnover in next year accounts but if we’ve already had the money up front and spent it this year what are we paying next years bills with?

The parachute payment for next year goes directly to Macquarie bank as we’ve borrowed it up front from them this year.

I get more and more bemused by the decisions made by this club every day. I vaguely remember supporting this club bringing me some pleasure - although I may be imaging that!

I’ll go further still….I’m not sure we will win another game while Top and Rudkin are at the club!

This is all beyond parody. To try and sell this as some sort of good news story is treating the fanbase as idiots. I used to think that this “regime” was just incompetent but this has now shifted so far beyond that, that it looks like deliberate sabotage.
