Townsend has chosen Ndidi as his MoTM. Ndidi

He’s always had the raw ability, makes the right runs, presses really well. Even his finishing at times has been nice. He is very much a confidence player.

Why do Ndidi and Soumare always receive the ball with their back to the opposition goal. They’d give themselves that split seconds more and can look around more.

Still criminal that Rodgers played Amartey when we had Vestergaard rotting away with the youth team

It works quite well when you pick the 2nd ball up and drive through midfield. I’m not sure this midfield is capable of that

Tried that a few times already and it’s not really ideal.

How is that not a foul?

The challenge with a Ndidi / Soumare midfield pivot, is I’ve seen league 2 defenders with more composition the ball when pressed. They don’t offer, so we get turned over. We miss Winks.

Almost inviting them to put the ball into the box, so we can clear it away on the counter?
