  1. Great pass from Reid as well
  2. Great goal That
  3. I don’t think it was really. Ayew doing his usual and going down.
  4. This game has some bite and is being allowed to flow at least.
  5. He’s such a frustrating player.
  6. Jordan Ayew has just run out of play whilst attempting to dribble. We have now seen it all.
  7. James just didn’t catch that
  8. The reason so many clubs went into administration in 2002 was the collapse of ITV digital. They couldn’t pay the football league what they owed, as they had terrible subscription numbers, leading to them losing up to £1m per day by the time they collapsed. They went into liquidation with debts of over £1b. That is eye watering in reality. When you consider it was reported that they’d effectively paid £1.2m for coverage of Bradford Vs Forest in the “Championship” and only 1,000 people watched. You can see why the business failed. Sky wouldn’t do a deal with ITV Digital to show the matches either, as I guess, longer term, they knew they’d get a better deal with the football league on matches once they’d gone. Unfortunately as clubs had budgeted for a slice of this income (as every club does now with Sky), then this lead to so many clubs entering administration du to complications from ITV Digital. We were just the biggest club impacted, as we were at the top of the football league at the time. Bradford, Halifax, Barnsley, Notts County, Port Vale, Ipswich, York and ourselves were all hit and went into admin with 12 months. Others tried to limp on an maybe paid a greater price in all honesty by not going into administration sooner. However, consider this, Sky now has dwindling customer numbers as it tries to compete with Netflix, Apple and Amazon amongst others. If they were to fall, then football in Britain would be really ruined if those other streaming platforms gave Sky, the same treatment it gave ITV Digital, as they’re reliant on its income. If Sky couldn’t pay us our money, King Power would either have to either cover the loan, or place us back into administration.
  9. So has the USA banned a load of countries from coming into the US, that feature at the World Cup? So fans from Haiti, Iran, Ivory Coast and Senegal can’t attend.
  10. Basically. I’m assuming Nelson needed some time to adjust and get back up to full speed, following his injury last season. I think it’s worrying though how we’ve seen this trend with so many players than have now been bombed from the squad.
  11. When he said “closer”, did he mean to League 1?

    Traitors 2026

This is the most aggressive bunch of traitors we’ve ever had. It’s great viewing
  13. I don’t know any of them personally do dislike them in all honesty. A few I’d rather not have seen ever played for us. Our players that I have met and I include Joe Mattock in this, have always come across quite well when I’ve spoken to them. Sometimes agents do players a disservice, sometimes the players themselves (Bilal El Khannous syndrome) just dig themselves holes. I can see why people don’t take to people like Maddison for the way he comes across. However then people like Tielemans get accused of downing tools. For all we know, he could be playing through injuries etc, which limits his ability. Then we have people like Evans, Bertrand and going further back Morris, that have spent more time injured as they basically were not deemed fit enough. Perez is another one, as he clearly had more ability than most gave him credit for. If he’s signed for £1m, he’s a cult hero. He did so much donkey work and grafting so others like Maddison could produce. His record since leaving us tells you that he was good enough. Just not in the role we played him in. I guess it’s like every day life. We will all know people that we can dislike in a work environment, but out of work they’re okay.
  14. To think we turned down a £20m bid from Monaco’s few seasons ago for him. Hindsight now but we thought it was crazy at the time.
  15. Holloway enters the chat ……
  16. Just personal preference ….. or “dislike-ness”
  17. Chillwell is potentially our 2nd / 3rd best left back ever though in my time at the same time (Fuchs / Guppy). I do get why supporters aren’t a fan though. I similar to how I feel about El Khannous currently, I player I think is a massive bellend.
  18. I get that, I feel absolutely nothing toward him to be honest. Similar to Maguire.
  19. I went Bennett over Coady and Mills! I wouldn’t argue over any of them though.
  20. I mean, it’s just personal preference really. Beckford, Kermogant, Akinbye, Daka, Ayew, Morris etc all have worst records I’m guessing! I just found him frustrating in a Ayew type way; as he ran around a lot and chased the ball. He had ability!
  21. Drove me bonkers and I didn’t rate him.
  22. Ward Rogers or Mattock Bennett Amartey Choudhury Soumare Wise Tiatto Lewis Hume Kermogant
  23. This makes no sense to me.
  24. I actually thought he sounded okay when he had his initial interview when he first joined us. Players typically get assassinated by fans, based on how they are on the pitch (Winks for example based on a few minutes of what they see on the pitch), or the way they use social media. If they’re exceptional players, then attitudes get overlooked. Arrogance is even expected to a degree at some clubs! Faes has the ability, we all just know he lacks concentration.
  25. It’s a bit like the old saying, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. The entire section of Middle East has been a political boiling spot since Persian times, as it is trade corridor and has had a massive mix of religion, politics, resources and aggressive empire builders through history. I think the challenge is now, with the rise of instant media, it’s just blown up. What was an entire region sitting on a bed of sand is easily destabilised. Iran has now had nationwide protests since the end of December, which was largely uncovered by media originally. The imposed social media and internet blackout would have played a part in that. I’m not massively up to date on what’s happening, however it seems they’ve had economic collapse with inflation going through the roof. They’ve the started protesting, which has then turned into anti government protests.
