I can’t speak for anyone else but for me I’m just sick of the merry go round & regurgitation of the same managers failing & walking from job to job. It’s time for stability just like we had with Pearson he got us so far maybe as far as he could but now it’s time to give the next management team a fair crack of the whip which 6mths isn’t.

Do you honestly believe we are ready for Europe, I think we have dodged a bullet not finishing 7th. We would start what mid July with something like 9 1st teamers on WC duty no summer break to speak of & straight into a new season our squad isn't strong enough as proved the last few weeks when hit by injury & suspensions. I don't think Burnley will be anywhere near as strong as they were this season like us they aren't big enough to cope just yet. What Puel has done last few months is look at everyone in & around the first team, he knows whats required to take us forward & make us stronger, I actually think it was good management once 7th was gone to experiment after all finish 8th might as well finish 10th for the sake of 4m you've given everyone a go & those that haven't performed can't grumble when / if he shows them the door.

The only thing Gibson has on Evans is youth, you talk of Gibson being a better longer term option, do you mean in sell on profit in 3yrs? because if you do what's the point nurturing him trying to get him up to scratch just to sell for a possible profit when you have 3yrs of Evans who doesn't need nurturing & will steady the ship at the back for sure whilst in the background we slowly bring the likes of Sam Hughes into the 1st team meaning you have a ready made replacement in 3yrs.

You could argue he underachieved by not showing ambition & belief in himself by trying to test himself with a premiership club & stuck where he knew he was safe, what's that saying "better to be a small fish in a big pond than a big fish in a small pond". I'd guess the truth was no premier league club thought he was as good as the Boro did for the money they wanted.
